Full-cut for comfort, our breathable and insulative boxer briefs hold you in good stead whether you're white-water kayaking, tying flies streamside or yo-yo lapping out-of-bounds. An exposed waistband helps streamline the fit; the nonbinding, coverstitched hem and rolled-forward leg seams ensure chafe-free mobility. With a 5 1/2" inseam (size M) and easy-access fly. Made from recycled polyester fiber. Made in USA. Common Threads Recycling ProgramResearch shows that the environmental impact of recycling worn-out Capilene base layers into new polyester fiber is significantly lower than making that same fiber from virgin materials. Taking into account that worn-out garments are diverted from trash incinerators, making new polyester fiber from recycled garments results in an energy savings of 76% and a CO2 emissions [greenhouse gasses] reduction of 71%, versus creating that fiber from new raw material. Capilene® Core Performance®Capilene base layers afford quick-drying, next-to-skin moisture management for all activities in all conditions ? from high-altitude bivies to sun-soaked water sports. The best underwear...period.
I've tried underwear from Ex Officio, Terramar, REI, and a few others, and NONE compare to these - lightweight and packable, super wicking ability keeps you dry and odor to a minimum, and they don't bunch up.
The essence of comfort.
I have to say, I was somewhat doubtful of all these glowing reviews of a basic pair of briefs. When they arrived in the mail I noted that the fabric closely resembled the Capilene 2 fabric but they didn't really seem to be "all that." Then I went for a 6-mile hike in 90 degree weather during a 3-day camping trip. Wow. The comfort is second-to-none. I had previously been very happy with an older pair of Patagonia boxers that are similar to the Capilene 1, and also with a couple pair of Under Armor briefs. I still like the others, but these Active Boxer Briefs are now my favorite in terms of overall comfort, moisture management, and odor control. I wish they were less expensive, but I'll probably be buying a couple more pair anyway.
OMG so comfortable
The Patagonia Active Boxer Briefs are absolutely The Best, so light and dare I say.....Sexy, yes my wife loves them too:-0 Great in the Las Vegas heat and so easy to dry, they do not ride up and no chaffing in the nether regions if you know what I mean? The price is a little on the higher side compared to other makes out there, but for what you get they are well worth it. I loved them so much I have thrown out my Calvin Kleins and replaced them with these undies.

Bye Bye CK's
After being a Calvin Klein boxer guy for years and years, I have to say that these beat the CK's hands down, super comfortable. Although expensive (albeit the same price as the CK's) These are without doubt the best feeling and most comfortable underwear I have ever owned.
Best Boxers Ever
That pretty much says it all. Never thought $26 for boxers could be reasonable, but these are worth it!
Top Drawers
These are fantastic underwear, and they are overpriced. But I have no regrets, The mediums fit me perfectly, at 34' and 180lbs.
Excellent, comfortable underwear
Cotton no more. I have been wearing Patagonia boxer briefs for about 4 years now. I live in the Arizona desert and have found these briefs to handle the extreme heat of summer or perspiration from playing sports very well. Very comfortable and they wick away heat and perspiration. I wear them exclusively and they hold up very well. The Calvin Klein's are history.
Comfortable all around!
Perfect for any occasion, you don't have to be active to wear these, but they are the most comfortable boxers I have ever worn while playing sports. Well worth the money!
Especially great for a trip
Writing this review from a trip across Europe I got those shorts for. They proved to be an excellent item for any traveler. Very comfortable and what is equally important is that they dry very fast, at least twice as fast as any other pair I got with me and I chose 3 different combinations of cotton/synthetics. They are true to size. Bottom line: EXCELLENT ITEM.
The BEST!
Most comfortable boxer briefs EVER. Worth the price!
No more cotton for my boys!
Patagonia active boxer briefs are a FAVORITE in our house! They are soft, quick drying and comfortable. Great for sports (breathable) and perfect for travel. Pricey but well worth the cost.
Works great in hot weather!
I own a refrigeration business. During the summer when business is booming, I constantly change my clothes to stay dry. I previously wore cotton briefs, but after purchasing the Patagonia Active Boxer Briefs, I have been able to stay dry......they work great!
Best Boxers Ever!
Perfect fit and performance in an active boxer. Leave the cotton behind. These wick really well. They are certainly worth the cost as the quality of Patagonia products and these Boxers will last lifetimes on the trail. I wear mine while snowboarding, hiking, climbing, biking etc. If you are treating yourself to a pair of these don't forget the ladies with a pair of capilene hipster briefs of the regular womens capilene briefs. Treat yourself right!
Real comfortable
Real good, fit, feel, comfort excellent like all Patagonia products I have purchased in the past and will in the future.
Comfortable, anticipate excellent drying.
As someone who has worn standard white cotton briefs for as long as he can remember, switching over to polyester underpants was the very last step in my transformation to backpacking light. In the interest of wearing fast-drying underpants that could also double as ad hoc swim shorts, I began trying various brands of dark colored polyester underpants. I'm certain I'm not alone in the belief that there's no article of clothing more difficult to fit than a pair of underpants. Most men probably find a comfortable brand and then stick with it given the difficulty or should I say the impossibility of "trying on" underpants. Last summer, I bought some Patagonia briefs but found them too tight. Last month, I purchased three styles for comparison: Patagonia Active Boxer Brief, Patagonia Active Sport Boxer Brief, and Mountain Hardware eXtend Featherweight Boxer. The first I bound perfect and almost as comfortable as my standard cotton briefs; the second, I found nice and stretchy but too constricting; the third, which I had hoped would be my favorite (because I've long loved the tops of the same material, I found comfortable except for the waist band which oddly was too loose, leading to an unpleasant sense of slippage). My new standard, then, will be the Patagonia Active Boxer Brief.
A nice option, though a little expensive.
I love the material, which is very versatile for activities during the day or going out at night. The pocket could be a little more defined and the price isa little high, but overall I highly recommend over other like brands I have tried.
