Arc'teryx Women's Bora 62 Backpack

Featuring a superb women's specific fit, the Arc'teryx Bora 62 backpack carries a multi-day load of backcountry gear in luxurious comfort. Just as they continually demonstrate with their industry leading clothing design, Arc'teryx places the same attention to detail, materials, and design in their pack line. They begin with an innovative suspension system, the core of which is a HDPE frame sheet with two 6061 aluminum stays placed in a V configuration. From the base of this V, the hipbelt is actually free to pivot, so it doesn't interfere with natural hip movement during a typical stride. At either edge of the suspension flexible composite rods, attached to both the thermoformed backpanel / suspension frame and the pack bag, transfer weight forward and to the hipbelt freeing the lady backpacker from any sensation of carrying a sack of potatoes. Furthermore, the Arc'teryx Bora 62 backpack features a women's specific, luxuriously comfortable hipbelt. Luxuriously comfortable because it is made from four layers of variable density foam and thermoformed into a cupped shape that ensures full contact with the hips. It transfers the load gently over the entire hip, regardless of the size and shape of the individual user. Similarly, the dual density shoulder straps follow feminine contours and contribute to the ongoing comfort. Both the hipbelt and shoulder harness come in three sizes to make sure of a precise fit and both are made with a laminated stretch woven surface over the top of the foam for excellent durability and carrying comfort. Similar attention to detail and craftsmanship are found on the pack bag. The WaterTight™ fabric is the most stunning example. 100% waterproof, super abrasion resistant, with outstanding snow shedding characteristics, it also features a white-backed laminate for excellent interior visibility for stowed camping gear searches. Other key features include a full length side zip, external kangaroo pocket, and sleeping bag compartment, all with WaterTight™ zippers. The Arc'teryx Bora 62 backpack also includes a hydration bladder pocket and hose clip, an internal laminated kangaroo pocket for gear organization, and dual ice axe loops, daisy chains, wand pockets, and sleeping pad straps for numerous gear attachment options. Four external compression straps also provide a handy attachment point in addition to stabilizing the load. Great Bag
This is my first arc'teryx bag and I love it. I bought it to replace an older bag and could not be happier.

Great fit
I have not used this pack yet but did pack all of my camping gear in it up to the weight I normally carry. What a difference from my old pack! It felt like I was carrying nothing. Any new women backpackers out there take some advice... Never use a mans pack! This is made to fit a woman and it does. The great thing about this pack is that it comes in different sizes. Another bit of advice, if you love to backpack, spend the money on a good pack such as this. Happy backpacking!

Phenomenal suspension!
I love this pack. I'm 50 and returned to backpacking after a few decades last summer. My back's been unstable and prone to injury so I was willing to pay more for a really comfortable pack. When I was shopping at REI for packs, and the guy loaded this one up, I said "did you put the weight in yet?" The suspension system is kind of phenomenal. This summer I even carried 55lbs over 50 miles and - well, sure, everything hurts a little by the end of a long day - but nothing hurts alot.
