Sizing ChartFit Tip: I am about 6ft. 160lbs and the medium fits me well. This jacket does run a little short, still falls just bellow the belt.
Cloudveil Men's RPK Jacket
Softshell ski jackets are rarely associated with words like waterproof and durable, but this Cloudveil RPK give you the freedom to enjoy your winter vacation while others seek refuge in the day lodge. While other jackets claim to durability with a two-ply fabric design, Cloudveil's RPK backs up their toughness with three layers of rugged and breathable GORE-TEX® Softshell fabric for your most challenging situations. This innovative two-way stretch material has a flannel tricot lining that adds more comfort and warmth than traditional ski and snowboard shell jackets. The hood is fully helmet compatible and has a hassle-free, one-hand peripheral adjustment feature, but if you don't need it, you can always detach the hood and leave it in your SUV or ski pack. Inside you'll find an internal electronics pocket for your radio, cellular phone or music player, and you'll also a find an internal shockcord loop that helps organize your headset wires better than ski jacket designs that sometimes lose the wires in the layers. The RPK is fully seam-sealed for exceptional weather protection and excellent durability.

I've been wearing an Arc Teryx shell for 5 yrs and was looking for something new but didn't want to take a step back in quality. Primary use is alpine skiing in bounds and backcountry. I'm very impressed with the build of the RPK and the thought Cloudveil put into it. The gore-tex soft shell material is nice and provides a tad bit of warmth and you know it will perform in the wet. Typical soft shells tend to be very trim in cut, with this jacket you get the great feel of a soft shell with a cut like a normal jacket..i.e room to layer underneath. Pockets are well placed and provide some venting, collar is perfect in height and easy to hide behind when its howelling. Hood is very functional and fits over a helmet with no issues and is also adjustable. I only have very small gripes..its a bit heavier than my old jacket but that's to be expected given the material and the pit zips are a bit hard to close but that may be because they are not broken in yet. Another reason I dig this product is its made by a relatively small and focused company out of Jackson Hole. I like it so much I bought the Snow Patrol down jacket and Koven pant. Cloudveil makes some nice stuff. Good luck with your decision!
