Just picked these up ahead of incorporating time trials into my competitive cycling line-up. In going aero one of the key things to do, after adjusting rider position and helmet, is to cover up your shoes. This generally leaves you with two choices in the warmer weather; the knit or the polyester shoe covers. I've owned both - the knit covers and polyester. Knit covers tend to lose their stretch and can heat up, so I tend to favor the polyester covers. Sidi's chrono covers are great - they are tight enough, they have a wide enough opening for both the cleat and the heel piece - vital for any shoe cover. What sets the Sidi chronos apart from competitors is also where the zipper falls; its all the way on the back - so getting in and out of the covers are really easy and you also get added aero advantage from the zipper being out and away from the wind. You also won't need to worry about overheating; they are so comfortable that I've started to wear them on regular road races.Pros: aero, stays cool
