The Electron RC 2 includes a windfall of free accessories, including a Coffee Sling, a Fast Pack Footprint, and a Portable Attic! We married two of our favorite tents, the Electron and the Reverse Combi. The Electron RC 2 upgrades with our Spider Hub that keeps all poles (main and ridge) locked in place. Reverse Combi Technology steepens the wall and expands usable interior volume. Two doors and two vestibules (14 and 10 square feet) house gear-loaded backpackers with room to spare. The Electron RC also comes with a free Accessory Package ($60 retail value).

Anonymous - 2008-09-09super easy and fast setup, and very excellent ventilation
I bought this tent 4 years ago and have used it about 7 or 8 times. I've used it mostly in hot weather (90+ degress in dry heat during the day, 80+ at night) and found I didn't suffocate - the ventilation design really helps the tent keep cooler. The tent's colors also make the tent feel cooler than it is. I've also used it in cooler temps - 75+ during the day and 35+ degress at night. Again very comforable, and no problems with condensation either. Never used it in the reain or cold, so I can't comment on that.
The tent is super easy to set up even if you're exhausted and it's after dark. The clip system is fantastic and foolproof. Full coverage fly is also extrememly easy to install and adjust for ventilation.
2 doors and vestibules give you good storage room and easy access. Note that this 2 person tent is pretty darn cozy - get a 3 person tent if you're not a couple or if you're camping with a restless kid (my toddler kicks in his sleep). It can fit two long 25" wide sleeping pads inside and nothing else! Peak height is real good though, so you don't feel claustrophobic. Except for the footprint that comes with the tent (you don't have to buy it extra!!!!), I don't use the accessories - the coffee sling and cup holder. They make the tent feel too close and small, and they add extra weight.
I highly recommend this tent for couples and solo campers. Kind of heavy for one person to backpack though. Split between 2 packs, it's great.
