Sierra Design scores huge with the Waterproof-breathable DriZone Bootie for men. The shell fabric sheds moisture and full seam-sealing guarantees feet stay dry in our booties. 60/40 down insulates toes better than any synthetic, a cordlock at the ankle seals in heat, and a full sole makes for secure walking.

Bought these for winter camping and glad I did. Went tent camping in the Alleghenies a few weeks ago and did a lot of hiking in about a foot of snow and temps between 15 and 20 degrees. When I finished setting up camp and getting firewood I took off my mountaineering boots and slipped these on and was in heaven. These are toasty and comfortable and weigh next to nothing. I even walked 10 minutes to an overlook and they held up fine (The path was heavy snow and flat but I wouldn't use them on anything to rough or do to much walking with them with no snow on the ground). The soles are slippery so be careful walking in packed snow. When we were leaving camp my buddy said the first thing he was going to do was take off his boots he wore all weekend - my feet did not bother me at all. I can't imagine it being too cold for these - I've taken my dogs out and let them run at night in heavy snow and below zero temps and have not had cold feet. One pair of good wool socks and you're good to zero and below temps and two pair and you're good in probably all but the most extreme conditions. They are light as a feather but don't think you would need any heavier booties - they are deceptively warm and would be great for light backpacking. Their durability is still in question - I have only been wearing them a month and a half but so far they look brand new and sierra design products have always been good to me.
Fantastic!
I have owned the Basic Sierra Design Down Booties in the past, but the Drizone Booties are definitely a step up. The waterproof characteristics combined with the outdoor sole make this bootie the perfect winter slipper. I am staying warm, dry and comfortable in the Drizone Booties and plan on buying more in the future for both myself and my family.
Comfortable booties
These are comfortable, although the size is on the tighter side: my foot is size 9 and medium is exactly the right length. If in doubt, go with the larger size. The sole is nice, and they are reasonably warm, although I have not tried them in extreme cold.

Just Ok
I purchased these booties for a backcountry ski trip to the Tetons. Temperatures only dropped to 12 F on the trip. They were comfortable to wear in the tent, but the never really warmed my feet up. I'm a big fan of down and own a down jacket and sleeping bag that I take into the backcountry. These never lofted beyond the way they came out of the pack. Finally I threw a set of toe warmers. They're definitely better than nothing, but If I had to do it again I'd pay more for a higher quality pair.

I bought these to take on a backcountry ski trip in Grand Teton National Park. Temperatures only got down to about 12f. I was a little disappointed as they never really lofted out or warmed my feet up. In fact, they don't really have much of a loft at all. I m a big fan of down and have a NF Nuptse jacket and an REI Kilo -20 sleeping bag. Both come out of the stuff sack flat but loft out nicely. These booties do not. I finally threw a toe warmer in with them and that helped. Having said that they are well made and are comfortable to wear; nice for inside a tent and casual camping. But if you are hardcore you might need more. For the price (last year's model @ $38) they're ok. If I had it to do over again I'd probably look for something with more down and a healthier loft, even if it meant paying a little more.
