My size L weighs 218g.!! That's enough for me to recommend keeping this jacket around all the time. The nylon is slick but not at all shiny and it is quiet. Slides over any too fabric without grabbing. I like the elastic cuffs- no fiddle style. Has pockets too, decently sized outside and water bottle pockets inside, although the jacket feels weird with the weight of water bottles in it. It does block the wind quite well. I like it over light cotton longsleeves on cool days. It does have a double front zip for heat venting, but I think that's a drawback... double zips are more fiddly and slow, plus I don't think you need venting on a jacket this lightweight. As you can tell, I am anti-fiddly... simpler is better. Other than that, this is simple and effective and quite well made. Watch out for sharp branches!
