When you consider the lightweight profile and easy-pitching convenience it's easy to see why three-season campers and backpackers prefer the fuss-free Sirius on the trail, at the beach or in a national park. Like all Sierra Designs tents, the free-standing Sirius has color-coded webbing to facilitate fast pitching and a convenient design that one person can set up alone. It's a superb choice for questionable weather conditions where light rain showers can transition to drenching downpours in moments. Sierra Designs recently redesigned all of their tents with a new waterproof SuperSeal floor that combines the best elements of traditional bathtub floor construction with catenary cut durability. An elevated perimeter seam eliminates precautionary measures like waterproofing your tent with seam sealer. A special Ultra-Fresh DM-50 anti-microbial treatment eliminates mildew odors and prevents microorganism growth that can destroy a tent's waterproof protection. Search around and you'll find tents just as light as the Sirius, but this three-season wonder is tough to beat when you compare the architectural advantages and attention to detail.

We have used our tent only once - but we were camping by the beach so it was a good test. The tent is great, especially the venting. Easy set up. Great tent. The shopping experience was also excellent. Thank you Sirius for your design. Thank you Altrec and Backpacker for great sites.

I was looking for 2 person, self-standing, and well ventilated tent for kayaking during spring and summer. I researched many tents, and ended up buying this one as an impulse buy. It was new, a cool design, and a good price. I had to call Sierra Designs about another issue and ended up talking to an employee about the tent. He said he was unsure about the wet weather performance. My first trip out, it rained all day. I set the tent up on a gravel bar, making sure that the fly was into the wind and rain. That night, it rained pretty hard and steady all night. In the morning, there was no rain in my tent, and I was still cool from the good ventilation. I recommend this tent highly, however, I would keep the fly pointed in the direction of bad weather.

I got this tent about a year ago and haven't had any problems. It's lightweight, easy to set up, and really is waterproof. Don't be a dummy though, point it in the right direction. Having 2 doors is always a great idea and when you take the rain fly off and lay down while star-gazing you thank the good Lord you bought this steal-of-a-deal. My ONLY complaint is that the vestibule space is really lacking, so if you're hiking w/2 + gear you might want to make sure your pack and gear are protected from the elements. I would highly recommend this tent.

I will be using this tent for a long time when I need more space.
It is very well ventilated and has plent of space inside. The design is also very cool. It is also perferms very well in rain.
Cons: It packs too big for me! If I didn't hike solo more often than not, this would be perfect because we could split up the weight. Unfortunatly, I have to use a different tent while going solo.
