poorly made
December 06, 2010
1. The heel pull tab on the left slipper came loose on the first pull. 2. The right slipper feels too tight. 3. The stiff sole is too wide under the arch, giving an awkward shape and feel. At half the price this pair would be a good deal. Unless you want a stiff sole, opt for the similar but less expensive model "Sierra Designs down packable booties". I'd have bought them if they'd been in stock in my size at the time I placed the order.
Pros: Ease of usewarm slippers

Nice and warm. Good for wearing in the house on cold hard wood floors. I like the fleecy cuff and the pull tab in the back. I wouldn't wear these slippers outside.
Pros: very warm, nice no slip sole, like the pull tab on the back, Cons: a little too wide for my footAlready own the Sierra Designs Down Moccasins? Tell us your thoughts.
Warm feet at last!

These may not be the most attractive house slippers but they do keep my feet really warm. I love them!
Warm and cute

The only complaint if you would call it that is that they are a little uncomfortable without thick socks on in the heel/ankle area due to the pull string and would have been even better with a sheepskin lining. However, I do really like them.
I love them!

The slippers are unbelievably comfortable, warm, and non-slip! Safety first.

I was a little disappointed, they come looking a bit different then pictured. However, overall liked these slippers very well. They do run a bit small, I wear a size 8 so I ordered the Large ( 8.5-9.5) and my toe was right at the very end of the slipper with no room what so ever. So I ordered the next size up, which was the XL (10-11) and they were HUGE!

Wonderful

I purchased the moccasins for my mother. She has to keep her feet warm due to a medical problem and these moccasins fit the bill. She says there are so comfortable and warm. Thanks for a great product!

GREAT!

These moccasins are truly wonderful. I suffer from two metabolic diseases, and metabolic deseases all cause poor circuation in the extremities, these keep my feet comfortable. I'm not crazy about the color, but it was the only choice I had.
Expected more

When it comes to slippers, I'm used to the "custom-fit" feel of Classic Haflingers, and even though I knew at the outset that these moccasins have no foot support, it was still a shock. I bought these primarily for extra warmth during the cold snap we're having here, but even that fell short of expectation as my feet did not feel appreciably warmer. Also, there's a pull-loop on the back of the moccasin to assist in pulling them on--one of those broke on the second wearing.
Just the thing for cold toes!

I ordered these down moccasins because I have incredibly bad circulation in my feet which makes winter recreation tough. They fit well and are true to size and warm my feet right up. I am eagerly anticipating our next winter camping trip! The pistachio color is great too!
Great product! Well-made, lightweight, and comfortable.

I purchased a pair of these for my wife to use both camping and around the house. We both love them! Her feet stay warm, and I no longer get her little COLD feet pressed against my warm back when she comes to bed.
Excellent value compared to other similar choices

My wife has been wanting a pair of down booties. I searched the web extensively and found the best price at equal quality to any others that I found in this item. I would recommend these to anyone.
Don't Know Yet, But They Look Improved

Since I work at home, my "work shoes" at the computer are SD Down Moccasins. However, long before anything else wears out, the bottoms are -- poof -- gone! So I have to put duct tape on the bottom to keep them together, but that only lasts so long. I ultimately have to throw out a perfectly good pair of slippers (on the top) and get a new pair. That said, this new version looks beefier and has a nice cuddly cuff and a heel pull, to boot. The bottom also looks a little more stout, so hopefully these will last!
Outstanding

I sleep notoriously cold; I'm sure you've heard of me, with feet like frozen chickens. Even with an extremely warm sleeping bag and thick socks, my feet couldn't get warm. I'm spending three months in a tent in the White Mts of AZ, so it was worth it to use some of my precious internet time to order these slippers. I've now used them for two weeks in nighttime temps varying from freezing to slightly above freezing and my feet have stayed toasty. Plus, they're durable enough to wear around camp. I've worn socks with them for extra insulation, but I'm sure if I didn't, I'd still be fine. I highly recommend these for anyone with frozen chicken foot syndrome.
Pros: packable, durable, warm, fits like a shoeWrite a review for the Sierra Designs Down Moccasins here.
Lightweight, warm, comfortable
October 29, 2009
These down slippers were so much better than others that I ordered, and returned, from a competitor. These are lightweight, are relatively easy to slip on, and are warm (so far this winter). What I couldn't tell from the picture of them, before ordering, is that they are quite wide. My husband laughs and says I look like a duck when I wear them; I think the footprint looks more like a bears. What also was misleading is the statement that they have an adjustable locking loop at the back of the slipper, which isn't true. There is a thin loop which could be used to clip the slippers on the outside of a pack, but it is in no way adjustable. Also, I was disappointed not to have this available in purple, but perhaps black is better as it attracts less attention to my now-wide feet!
Comfy and warm

I bought the bootie version for my daughter and the moccasins for myself. She wears hers everywhere! Extremely comfortable and warm. The soles are water resistant and have these no-slip dots on the bottom which sets them apart from other down booties I have worn which tends to be a little slippery. My only complaint, the opening is a little small for my size 12 foot; the heel loop ripped off the first time I tried to pull one on too forcefully. No big deal though, I would absolutely by these again.
Pros: Great design, PerformanceWarm and cozy moccasins
December 25, 2009
These are warm and cozy moccasins. Great for those long winter nights! They seem to be well made and are easy to put on using the little pull loop on the back. Found the best price here. My wife loves them and would recommend them.
Snuggly warm

These are great slippers for warmth and are very comfortable. I like the low profile of the moccasin as compared to the bootie style.
Better Than Expected

I purchased these to wear in unheated huts after a day of winter hiking. I was pleased to discover the inside sole of the slipper was padded; other brands I tried were not or didn't have nearly as much. The sizing is true to size, however, I bought a size up to accomodate my bulky winter hiking socks. The mediums would have fit fine with regular socks but the large fit well with the thick socks - just a little big. I wear a size 8. They are very warm and cozy, light weight, and easy to compress down and stuff in a backpack.
