Great slippers but they're discontinued!
I must give these slippers a 5++++ Star rating! They are the best slipper I have ever owned. EVER! So warm, so comfortable. I want to wear them all the time. That said, as of the Fall of 2009, Sierra Designs has discontinued their down mules. They've replaced the mules with a newer slipper design - the moccasin. I have written to the company several times asking that they bring back the down mule. If you like these mules as much as I do, I ask you to please write or email to Sierra Designs. They have their own website, just add - .com - after their name. I firmly believe if they receive enough feedback from highly satisfied customers like we all are, they may bring these back! I bring these on backpacking trips because they are super light and warm, and the sole is durable enough to wear around the campsite. They feel great after a day in hiking boots!

cozy, wear every day
I love these mules........ i've had Sierra mules for years; each year or so, they seem to change something about them; e.g. they didn't used to have any fleece inside, now they do. I wear them so much (every night, up to summer) that i decided to buy 2 more pairs this year! now I have 3. If you like cozy slippers buy these! oh, this year they also have a better more durable "bottom" !

The warmest yet!
This is my 3rd pair of the Sierra Designs down mules (I just keep wearing them out) and these are the warmest ones yet. They're fantastic. I have also bought these for three family members and everyone loves them.

Fantastic!
I have hardwood floors, these slippers give enough support and insulation that my feet are always toasty! They are the first thing I slip into when I get home! Yeah for down slippers!

No more cold feet
I constantly have cold toes, and most slippers don't actually warm up my feet. They usually just trap the cold air in the shoe. But these booties are great! My feet are super warm and it's really comfy and plush inside.

Love these slippers!!

my favourite slippers
They are great - they are always on my feet. I was a little surprised to find out that they actually enclose the heel. However, the material is flexible enough to wear up on the heel or folded into the slipper.

Overall great comfort, design and wearability.
My all time favorite slippers. They provide all the warmth of my last pair of down booties without the weight. They are light as a feather, fit snugly and keep out the chill. Plus the treads make them slip free. I bought three pairs for relatives as Christmas gifts and they were a huge hit. My Aunt received a different pair of slippers for Christmas and they have been ignored in favor of the Sierra mules. My only issue is I would like to have additional colors offered in women's extra large.

wear socks with em. perfect for camping/hiking trips

Women's Down Mule Slippers
These are great! Warm and comfortable. I love them. The only thing I wish they had is a rubber bottom so that you could run outside to get the paper.

I love my slippers!
After completely wearing out a pair of these from several years ago (I literally wear them every night, every morning, and take them on vacations and sometimes when backpacking), I just ordered a new pair in 2006. They are as good as ever, toasty and light. I love these slippers so much that I got my husband a men's pair for Christmas and he lives in his, too!

Perfect Slippers!
I love these slippers! They are so warm and comfortable. At first I was a bit skeptacle with the harder sole but boy was I wrong...I don't want to take them off! My feet stay nice and warm without sweating. They run large so go a size smaller.

I Love These Slippers!
This is my second pair of Sierra's Down Mule Slippers. The design is updated, and, although I liked the old design better - I'm not disappointed. I find the down slippers very comfortable and warm. And, will continue to buy this brand.

Light-weight and very warm
I always have cold feet, and when I got these in the mail I thought they were going to be too light-weight to keep my feet warm -- but I was wrong! These slippers are surprisingly thin and light for the awesome amount of warmth they provide. They are always by my bed!

Toastie toes

I won! A Great Gift
On Christmas Eve, I sat and watched my wife as she opened up gifts from each of our two daughters, her mother and me. Guess what? We had all purchased her slippers of one variety or another. My heart sank. I thought that I had given her the ideal gift. To my glee, the Sierra Designs Women's Down Mule Slippers I purchased have not been off her feet. She loves the design and says she has NEVER had a pair of warmer, more comfortable slippers. Our frigid temperatures out here on the prairie put them to the test. Trust me, she is not trying just to make me happy :-).

I telecommute and it seems as if my feet are always cold. But not in these slippers! I like the way you can just step into them. They are also light and pack easily. I'll be taking them with me on a backcountry ski trip to wear in the hut.

The best slippers out there!!!
These really are wonderful slippers. My boyfriend had a pair and I couldn't stop wearing his, so I had to get a pair of my own. These keep your feet warm but not too hot. You'll want to live in them! :)

my mother bought me a pair of these slippers for christmas last year. i love them! i have never gotten a better gift, honestly. i wear them EVERYWHERE, not just around the house. i even wear them for quick trips outside when there is snow on the ground. they are a perfect blend of durability and supreme comfort. these slippers are worth every penny!

Best slippers ever
Lovingly referred to me as my "moon booties" these are the best slipper ever ever ever! I love them. If you wear them a whole bunch you need to wash them lots, because they will start to stink, like old sock, but worse. They are great!!!! I am buying a second pair and everything. Yay!

My wife loves them
My wife loves these mules that I bought for her. They keep her feet toasty warm in our house. They will be great for cabin camping or around the house, not suited for outdoor wear since the soles are suede.

Fantastic in the house but the soles aren't tough
My wife loved the mules and since it was cold in MT after Christmas, she wore them almost all the time inside. For a person who prefers birkenstocks unless she is running, hiking or biking, she found them very comfortable and supportive enough for inside wear. The only complaint might be that she hoped to use them for lounging around campsites especially when canoe or car camping but the soles may not be durable enough for that kind of use.

Wear Socks with These Slippers
Sierra Designs: Women's Down Mule Slippers: These slippers are not as comfortable as I expected. I feel like I am wearing flip flops rather than slippers. The weather was below freezing when my slippers arrived. My feet did not stay warm even with the heater on indoors. I would definitely recommend layering with socks! Now that the outdoor temperature is 40F my feet are warm and toasty wearing the slippers indoors.

Not as warm as first thought
After reading all the posts, you would have thought these slippers were the best thing ever. Well, after purchasing these for my wife, they aren't as warm as first thought. I would recommend slippers of a different material like fleece or those that you can pull up like socks up your ankles. Just my opinion though.

disappointing
These slippers aren;t ideal for home use. They don't stay on the feet very well and I found the insoles (or lack thereof) hard and uncomfortable. Not very well designed.
