Volkl Supersport 6 Star Piston Motion 1200:
If we made any bets in the ski industry it certainly wouldn't be against Volkl's Supersport 6 Star missing a ski of the year award. With quotes like "impeccable" and "best of show" thrown around, it's impossible to even suggest that this all-mountain performer is a dark horse. Volkl took everything that was good about their 5 Star and added aluminum motion rails for the Marker binding interface for better precision, stability, control and feedback. In the case of the Supersport 6 Star, statements like "new and improved" hold extreme credibility no matter which arc of turn you like to make. Volkl also added a double-grip technology to the new design, essentially doubling the height of the construction above the ski edge to enhance skier support and grip. Our version comes dialed in with the incredible Piston Motion 1200. This design slides on the aluminum motion rails using two pins--one in front and one in back--to glide your boot along over bumps and through undulations with complete flex and uninterrupted power transmission.
