The 76-mm. waist also gives this ski a bit of float that makes a case for all-snow conditions. The Metron B5i has Atomic's popular B5 technology with shock-absorbing Power Channels for stable, high-speed turns even on rolling terrain. These Power Channels taper off at the ski tips and tails for precise power distribution and uniform contact with the snow, so you're in control even across choppy, uneven snow surfaces and through abrupt turns. The Metron B5i's turn radius is the shortest in the Metron line and one of the most abbreviated among Atomic skis, making this model ideal for guys who like to rip slalom style without being limited to slalom racing skis (the Metron B5i has the same turning radius as Atomic's ST 12pb slalom racing ski). Down the sides you'll find Atomic's Dura Edge edges that offer more molecular density than ordinary steel edges, giving you up to five times the durability with potentially less tuning.
