Essential element for cool weather

The most essential element for cool weather cycling. Thin enough to fit under a helmet and not cause you to overheat when you get warmed up, but just enough coverage (over ears) and warmth to keep the chill off at the start of a ride. I've used one of these for over a year without any noticeable wear. Typical Smartwool quality, that is, perfectly fine and straightforward. Easy to pull off and stuffs small in a pocket.

The head liner was not quite what I expected, but you can't go wrong with SmartWool. I carry this with me when I walk the dog. I may leave the house with a ball cap only to find out it's a little colder than expected. The liner takes very little space in a pocket, and it works well under a ball cap for added warmth for the head and ears.

I bought this for my husband as a gift and he LOVES it. The headliner is his first Smartwool product and he is addicted now. He wears it underneath his helmet when he rides his road bike to work in cool weather. It keeps his ears and head warm and also wicks sweat away. Great product!
