pricey but worth it

True to size. Function very well (i.e. keep feet warm, even when socks get damp). Can't speak to durability as I just got them. However, the last pair of Smartwool socks I got lasted OK, but not as long as a well made nylon/cotton sock. I think that finely spun wool doesn't hold up as well, as that has been my experience generally with wool "dress" socks.
