Description

Pull on the adventure-ready Smartwool Men's Lightweight Crew shirt and you'll realize there's nothing this long sleeve T-shirt can't do. Made from no-itch, super soft merino wool, this top will naturally wick moisture away from your skin in the vapor form, eliminating that cold clammy feel you get wearing synthetic tops. Smartwool constructed this wool shirt from their NTS Lightweight fabric so it will keep you warm as a base layer in cool to cold weather and it is light enough to wear comfortably as an outer layer on a sunny day Nordic ski or a fall trail run. Take it out for a long trip into the backcountry; wool naturally resists odors to keep your campmates happy. The drop tail bottom hem keeps you covered and makes it easy to tuck into your ski pants and a sculpted side panel replaces the side seam to eliminate chaffing. A little style is added with contrasting panels at the sides and sleeves so you can almost pass your long underwear top off as everyday wear in town. Crafted for comfort and performance, the Smartwool Lightweight Crew for men is the only shirt you'll want to wear this season, good thing they make it in a bunch of handsome colors.

Excellent Purchase
May 08, 2012

This top is warm when it needs to be & breathes well when it warms up outside. I work outside daily in the spring & fall & use this top very frequently in temps ranging from 40s up to 60s (have a midweight layer that gets used in the colder temps). Its so much better than any polyester. It works well on the cold days under a windproof softshell & keeps the body cool as the temps raise & the top layer comes off. I can't give enough praise to merino wool- it doesn't hold the stink from working hard, its warm when wet, dries fairly quickly, & is super comfortable against the skin. I am 6', 210 lbs, athletic build, & purchased an XL because I didn't want it to be too tight, but in hindsight I should've gone with a L due to the fact it will stretch out a little when you wear it #but does go back to original size upon washing#. They are a bit pricey, but well worth the investment for me.

Nice peice a little pricey
November 30, 2011

Nicely built piece of clothing. Runs a little big. I am 6' 165lbs and very fit. Ordered the large initially, sent it back for the medium, which fits pretty well. Length is good, but tht sleeves do run long. I have worn it a couple of times, hardly notice you even have it on, accept for the sleeve length which bunches up a little. overall nice shirt, but dont pat full price. get it on sale.

Another great product from Smartwool
October 29, 2011

I am already a fan of Smartwool because of their PhD socks and this is the first layering product I have tried from the company and once again another great product. It is very comfortable and form fitting with a nice soft texture against the skin. Now that the weather is getting chilly I have used it under T-shirts and button down shirts and it has hit the spot just right. Just as other Smartwool products the build quality is exceptional. I would recommend the Lightweight crew to anyone.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Great value, comfort
Cons: none
