Smart flippin' underwear
I bought these to handle extra cold days on the mountain, and with the coldest days of winter behind me, I can report that they've performed like a champ! The quality and fit is what separates these from the pack. I've skiied with them for a season and they feel like they'll last forever--they're actually MORE comfortable with a few washes (not that you need to wash these odor-free undies very often). They are a relatively heavy, warm long john, so the boot cut is a great feature--no bunching under my ski boot and very little overlap with my socks. During warmer days or near the base of the mountain I have to usually dump heat with my pant zips--these are a very warm base layer meant for frigid weather. I'm 5'11" and 180 lbs - the L fits me very well.

good for skiing
Got this to wear as base layer under ski pants...but didnt want bunching around ankle and boots
Nice and comfy, and didn't smell, kept me warm even when got slightly wet with snow
Expensive but worth it, merino wool is the best

Excellent moisture control
After a hard workout, allows sweat to evaporate and keep warm, unlike cotton baselayers.

Another winner from Smartwool!
This is just another amazing thermal bottom that Smarwool produced. It is light, breathable, yet keeps you superwarm in cold winter day. It does fit a bit large.
Again another winner from Smartwool! Highly recommended!

A must-have baselayer for skiing
This baselayer is super comfortable and keeps my lower body warm when worn under non-insulated ski pants. The fabric has held up well after more than 20 washings, no pilling or thinning noticeable

Perfect Base Layer for skiing on cold days
Have bought a few of these now they are great. Warm, soft on the skin, not constricting. A typical high quality SmartWool product

Great Base Layer
I purchased these to use under my northface snowboarding pant, but have not done so at the time of this review. I have used them with jeans and they keep you warm even under -20 degree weather. FYI the length of these is better then the regular length ones as those are 1.5ft too long, and I am 5'10".

excellent base layer for skiing/climbing
fits snug, keeps you warm with just a basic shell on top. It reaches to slightly above mid-calf, so it won't bunch under ski boots.

Perfect
I bought these to wear under my work clothes. The boot tops work great with my work boots. They're warm when it's cold and are still comfortable when it warms back up later in the day. I've worn them on days that start in the mid 20's and went up to the low 50's.
