Extremely comfortable base layer for cold weather. The fit is as described semi- form fit for which is very comfortable. I'm 6'4" 227 and the XL fit is perfect. It does fit close to the body but does not compress tight to the body. I find it a perfect cold weather fit. Great buy!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

I wore this base layer for 1 week straight at my job working 60 hours in a cold non heated warehouse. It has picked up NO SMELL. I am 6 ft 185 lbs and a large fits well. The fit is a bit more loose than my other large smartwool products. The fabric is very warm and soft.Pros: Performance

great comfort and functionality. the shirt length is a little bit short for my liking. think about ordering up one size. keeps you warm when cold. . .cool when warm.

I've worn their socks for years. Don't know why it took so long to get one of their shirts. The fit is great, the feel is comfortable, the performance is better than polyester. I love this shirt!!

I recently purchased these Smartwool midweight shirts to use as a baselayer for myself and my wife when we go backpacking. The fabric is very soft, stretchy, and doesn't itch. They do tend to run a bit big, so we bought ours a size smaller than we usually wear and we're glad we did. It will be interesting to see if they shrink at all after a few washes, although the packaging suggests they won't. These shirts even look smart enough to wear out on the town, which makes them multi-purpose and helps to justify the relatively high price.Pros: Build quality, Performance, Cons: Cost

I've been a fan of Smartwool's socks for a while and this base layer is the best that I own. It's great for anything, lightweight, breathable, really comfortable.

This crew is awesome. You can wear it as a base layer and then turn around and wear it as a sweater/shirt to the ski lodge. Very versatile and washes well. Love all smartwool products.
Warm, but not too hot and doesn't get stinky

Keeps you warm when it is cool outside but also keeps you cool when you start working up a sweat. It stays fresh much longer than synthetics. Very comfortable and the sizing seems right.
