PHD not required, these socks are a no brainer.
I am stupid enough to run 60 plus miles a week in all kinds of weather, but smart enough to wear these socks when I do - I guess that is one reason why I still have the get up and go even as a masters aged athlete. Nice fit for a wide foot with excellent cushioning and more than adequate wicking ability. Smartwool has it going on.
