Description

Fletch may have said it's all about ball bearings, but we know it's all about layering with the Men's Smartwool TML Light SportKnit Crew. Designed to be the ideal light second layer, this 95% merino wool top keeps the sweat moving away from your body so you continue to stay dry and comfortable. The semi-form fit aids in this process by allowing layers underneath, but still maintaining snug contact. Lightest of the middle layers this pullover long sleeve is perfect for all four season use and light to intense exertion. Ribbed knitting at the cuffs and engineered thumbholes will have you feeling like an intergalactic speedskater, but rest assured, the sleeves will not creep up. Staying dry is the key to staying warm, let the TML Light SportKnit Crew for men from Smartwool do it for you.

Great shirt, used for hiking and around town. We are having an exceptionaly warm winter so wore it alone, but it will work great under a soft shell or my down coat too. At 5'11", 200 lbs a large fits great. Smartwool always lives up to my expectations!

very comfortable

This is a comfortable undergarmet that can be worn as under or outer layer. The ribbing on sleaves and back add good looking style to the always functional smartwool products. Since I have been so satisfied with the garmet, I am ording the same shirt only in half zip. Highly recommend this product. It is worth the extra price over some of the brands.

Just a little itchy...
July 26, 2011

I got this sweater for a 3 day/2 night backpacking trip to Northern PA this Fall. I have only tried it on and haven't been able to really wear it it out yet since its Summer, but it looks great! I have had allergic reactions to wool in the past, so i was hoping to avoid the itch by purchasing merino wool which it supposed to be itchless. However, it still does make me itch. I will definitely be wearing a long sleeve baselayer with this. I am probably one of the few that find Smartwool knits itchy because I am sensitive to wool in general. I also have Smartwool liners and socks and they do not bother me at all. I think it has something to do with the knit in the sweater material. I still rate this product very high and can solve my issues with it with a simple baselayer underneath it.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use
Cons: Cost, itchy for sensitive skin

It is a little thicker than I expected, however, the material is very comfortable and soft. The size does run a little big so it might be a good idea to order a size down.

Good Looking and Warm
April 11, 2011

I saw this sweater at another store earlier this year. Went back to get one and they were out. As soon as I saw this one at Altrec I snatched it up. Love Smartwool products and this one is no different. Feels great and looks great. I wear this on cool evinings and it keeps be warm here in Colorado. I usually wear a large but I ordered this in medium and it fits just fine. Seems like Smartwool runs a little big. 5'9" 170#. Even better - got this on the Deal of Day! at 50% off.
