Designed for the best comfort and protection inside low volume mountaineering boots, the Smartwool PhD Mountaineer Socks have heavy cushioning in the heel and toe with flat knit foot and leg areas, a flat knit toe seam and mesh areas for ventilation. Merino wool will help regulate moisture and temperature from a sweaty ascent to a frigid descent while the 4 Degree Elite Fit System keeps the sock from bunching or slipping in your boot.
