I Need More
I was expecting great things when I ordered Smartwool socks. Previously, I'd only used them for hiking, and the ones I bought back in the 80's are still in use. Hard to believe, but true. They simply do not deteriorate, and I use them for day hikes and backpacking. So when I decided to give the light weight socks for everyday a try, I have not been disappointed. I don't know how many years they'll be good for, but they are worth the extra money, my feet are comfy and warm.

Very happy
These socks are the perfect weight for wearing with clogs, lace up shoes, and loafer type styles or under low or high boots in moderate climates like Northern California. They are soft and comfortable but hold their shape like most Smart Wool products. In black, they do not attract lint excessively like some fabrics or other wools, and don't pill or produce fuzz when washed. I do wash inside-out as the instructions suggest. They are a nice close fit, but not tight. Really pleased with the purchase.

sturdy thin socks
These socks look and feel great out of the package. After washing, however, the cable detail looks blurred and the texture of the wool is a bit stiff. Nonetheless I am happy with the purchase because the fabric feels sturdy enough to withstand many washings, and the color is a nice neutral gray that will be versatile and useful.

Delightful!
I really like these socks! These are not the kind of socks that are going to keep you extremely warm at -25 degree weather, but they are great for a step-up everyday sock. The colors are versitle and attractive, matching many of my outfits. And even though they are more thin than other SmartWool socks I have, my feet don't get so sweaty as they do in other socks. I would definitely recommend these to others!

I'll never wear cotton socks again!!!
Smartwool socks first entered our house when we bought a pair for our son. He loved them, and we loved the fact that wash after wash the socks stayed intact and kept his feet dry. Over the last month we have purchased 14 additional pairs of socks for the family and wear them for work and play. Highly recommended. Your feet will feel comfortable and dry and never too warm.

great everyday socks!
I love the smartwool hiking socks, so wanted to replace my cotton everyday socks. Since wearing smartwool socks, I never want to wear my cotton socks! but I did need thinner, lighter weight socks to fit my work shoes, so thought I would try these. The same smartwool comfort. no damp feet - and they look great. I am slender, shoe size 6.5 so the small fit well. There is enough room in the toe area, but not too much. I like that the top of the sock does not have a tight elasticized area, since that type of top tends to cut off circulation to my feet - doesn't work well for me. These are very comfortable and still look dressy enough to wear to work. I'll be ordering more in different colors.

Great Dress Socks
I ordered these socks in most of the colors available. I LOVE Smartwool because it keeps my feet comfortable (not hot, nor cold, nor damp) all day. These were thinner than I expected. Very much the weight of a traditional dress sock. I wear 7.5-8 shoe size but take a small in these socks, even WITH putting them in the dryer, however I do have a thin, narrow foot. Highly recommend, but don't expect any cushion in them.

Good wool dress socks
These are good wool socks but made thin. Best use are for
dress type socks with slacks. These do run small. I ordered a size larger and was glad I did. I don't plan on wearing these on real cold days, but have on moderate days and they kept my feet warm. I have always been pleased with Smartwool in the past, and do believe these will hold up as well.

Very Durable Socks--Great for everyday use
These socks are of good quality. They keep my feet dry. I stand on my feet all day, and I find wearing these makes that a bit easier. When washed, they hold their shape and color. Great socks!

I love these socks. They keep my feet dry all day long. They're light enough for everyday use. Also keeps my feet odor free. Very durable. Keeps shape after multiple washings.

Good socks
I have been wearing nothing but Smartwool for several years now. I love these socks. They are lightweight and comfortable, yet warm. They fit perfectly, but they do slip down. I haven't found a sock yet that doesn't do that, though. They also shrunk on me after many many washings, so I'm now on my second batch. Still love them and will continue to buy Smartwool socks.

Love these socks!
Size 11 shoes require long socks, which are difficult to find. Most socks I have bought wear out at the toe very quickly - simply because they are not long enough. SmartWool, on the other hand carries a size L for women, and it is a thrill to have them. That alone makes them worthwhile for me.
There's more, though! I love the cable socks. They are warmer than most socks of this thickness but don't take up a lot of room in my shoes. I have a tendency to have cold feet in winter and hot feet in summer, and these socks fit the bill in all seasons.
I find SmartWool socks very pricey, compared to what I'm used to paying, but I think in the long run the price will be relatively good because the toes won't wear out so quickly!

My go to socks. I love everything about them. Just don't walk around to much in stocking feet, or you'll get holes in the bottom of them.

Lightweight and not-itchy!
Of all the smartwool socks that I own, these are my favorite. They have not piled after frequent use as some of my others have. They are lightweight, comfortable and still look sharp after repeated use.

Perfect fit!
I have been looking for socks that fit properly and these are wonderful! I wear a size 7 and the small size socks are just right. I've been so tired of heels on socks that end up on my leg instead of my heel.

Good but thinner than others
These are good everyday socks, but I was expecting a bit more warmth coming from SmartWool. I live in Vermont and the floors get quite cold in the winter, so I need to double-layer these socks!

Great quality and colors
I have been wearing Smartwool socks for several years now and the really do the trick during Wisconsin winters. They wash up beautifully an the colors are terrific. Altrec's prices are better than I can find around home.

Super product
These are the only socks I wear - just got back from a week of hiking at the Grand Canyon and wore my Smartwool hiking socks and Smartwool long under wear. A good investment!

SmartWool is so Smart
This is my first winter with smartwool socks and what a difference! My feet have been so warm and comfortable. I got the black ones and wear these with dress shoes.
