I was looking for a pair of socks to put in my mary jane walking shoes that would give me protection on the top of my foot from friction. This sock fits the bill. It is discreet looking, comfortable and fits my size 5-1/2 foot perfectly - no bagging or falling off. I am very happy with this purchase. Smartwool makes the best hiking socks and now I know they make the best hide and seek socks!

I am a big fan of SmartWool socks. I had purchased this style a few years ago but only bought one set. Since then, I have been searching for them - not to be confused with the Women's Hide and SLEEK sock (that is another excellent sock but better for ballet-type shoes). I like to wear these socks with just about everything - the days I don't feel like going barefoot around my house or the days I don't want to go sockless with shoes or boots. They fit great covering more of the top of my foot and they stay on even with boots ... they do not slip off at the heel like most in this style. I trust the SmartWool blend for durability and comfort - my feet tend to sweat, so this is a nice brand to keep my feet warm and dry.

Thick enough to cushion, but thin enough to fit under lightweight shoes, and far more comfortable than cotton in hot weather.

These are okay socks, not nearly as comfortable or as high quality as other smartwool products. I really like the other smart wool products and would recommend these only for people who are not on their feet much during the day.

I always thought wool socks would be itchy- not so. My feet stay dry and cool all day. Socks hold up well through washing and drying. Highly recommend.

Like many of you, I am a sock connoisseur. As the globe and I get warmer, I find these socks to be the perfect weight and coverage for everyday. I still like to walk in thicker and warmer socks, but these take the cake for everyday. I couldn't be more pleased that they are still available. Thanks!

I'm a size 8.5 and the medium fit great. I wanted a lightweight sock that I could wear with runners, loafers, etc., but that wouldn't be seen. (It's sometimes nice to have the feel of the sock but not see it!) These are terrific as they are comfy (as with all of my smartwool socks), stay on, but don't show. Colours are basic but go with everything. Very happy!

These hide and seek socks are a great solution for loafers. In the Southeastern US we often have cool weather, but not icy cold. So wearing socks is optional for about 80% of the year. I also wear these under my Keen Howser shoes to prevent blisters. Also, I find that my feet don't sweat quite as badly when I wear these underneath my loafers. These hide and seek socks are a great alternative to barefoot.

Girlfriend loves them

I got several pairs of Smartwool socks for myself and some for my girlfriend since she has never had them before. She is already commenting on how light and comfy they are. She wears them around the house or with different shoes around town. The style looks nice and the colors seem to hold up after a few washes. I would think they will be used more frequently when it gets warmer and she is using running shoes more often.

Great Socks!

These socks are great! I wear them with moccasin type shoes and boat shoes and they don't show. They also don't fall down and get under your feet when you're wearing shoes like a lot of socks this cut do. They're smartwool so they don't get smelly either which is great. A great sock for in late fall/ winter when you want to wear cuter shoes and still have warm feet. Nice to just wear around the house too.
