warm and comfy
March 20, 2012
This is my first time to ever purchase a Smartwool product and so far I am impressed. It is a thin fabric but it provides enough warmth. I did feel a little bit of itch from it contrary to what I've read in reviews but overall, I was still comfortable. I am 5ft tall and 118lbs and I ordered a small. It didn't feel tight around me and it still had room to stretch.

Lightweight crew

This is the best first layer for winter running or to wear alone in warmer weather. It wicks away moisture, stays dry and isn't itchy next to your skin. I would recommend this to any runner from novice to experienced.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: Cost, priceyAlready own the Smartwool Lightweight Crew? Tell us your thoughts.
Good underlayer crewshirt
April 02, 2012
It's a thin underwear shirt and feel very soft and silky. However, I have to return it due to size runs bigger than normal ones. I usually wear size small for all Northface products. The small size in Smartwool crew shirts seems run a bit too big. So, I bought another two Smartwool underlayer shirts in xs and in medium weight. They are perfect this time. Thx Altrec for their super easy and fast return policy!

I now have two of these crewneck shirts, and I wear one of them every day! I think I'm going to get all of the colors!!! They are warm, so soft, and great to layer things over. The colors are rich and vibrant. A+++++!
Pros: Great design, Great valueJust what she wanted!

Altrec had the best price on this shirt that my daughter wanted for her birthday. After shopping around, Altrec had the competition beat, hands down. Smartwool is known for great quality, already. Altrec provided a great price and quick shipping. This smartwool shirt fit her like a charm--the torso and sleeves were long enough for her tall frame!

nice but runs long

An extra small was not too tight but very long in the body compared to other brands (I'm 5'0") in that size. This makes it hard to wear it for anything other than as an athletic underlayer in the winter, even though the color is nice enough to wear as a shirt there'd be too much fabric bunching up everywhere.
