Smartwool is the Best!
April 13, 2010
I have several Smartwool products. I added the tank for those chilly biking mornings that become pleasant afternoons. It's lightweight, but warm and never itches! I'll probably wear this on its own too.

Nice Tank
February 27, 2012
This is a descent Tank. My main complants are the way the arm holes go to the back of tank top. Too thin. Although I got a black tank in micro weight and it was a little thicker wool. The lite purple one I got was I thought too thin of material. If these would have had a regular back & harm hole they would have been perfect. I orered a SW regular long sleeve top in Med. Weight that I think I will like better. If you want a tank for spring or fall this weight is a good choice. The quality is good, well put together. SW needs to com out with a Regular Tank in midweight wool.

I am generally a big fan of smartwool products. This tank is great in all the ways I have come to love smartwool, i.e. comfort, moisture wicking, odor resistance, temperature control. The only problem is the fit. The arm holes are a very weird shape, half way between a racer back and a normal tank. They are awkward, too large, and not flattering.
Pros: Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: Bad designWrite a review for the Smartwool Microweight Tank here.
Can't get through winter & spring without it.

Smartwool is an essential part of my wardrobe. I wear the pieces in the cool/cold weather under all my clothes and in the warm weather, I wear the pieces as outerwear...t-shirts, tank tops, etc. They are FABULOUS.

I love this top. I wear it under my everyday clothes and it keeps me surprisingly warm. I thought it might be at least slightly itchy, but it isn't at all. It's pretty thin, and I am concerned it might run or snag like my microweight bottoms did after a year of wear, but it hasn't so far. I also like how it looks as a camisole under a deep V top, it's not too low and not too high.

A Great Piece!

Fantastic layering piece. Warm in the winter, cool in the summer. Cover's bra straps generously, and armhole opening fits so that it covers what may not need to be seen by the whole world. This is my favorite all-year-'round piece to wear either by itself or under a sweater, sweatshirt, jacket, etc.
Now that I know, I wouldn't want to be without.

The cotton tanks I wore and loved for so many years sit in my drawer unused. This tank is very versatile; it layers perfectly and can be worn by itself. I also appreciate how nicely these pieces launder. Winter in the frozen north is ever so much nicer now.
great base layer

i love this tank, it wicks beautifully and is super comfortable as a base layer. it isn't the warmest so it is nice in the fall or early winter when you just need a little extra warmth. i like the sale price :)

Pretty good tank!

I have two of these and they're quite good as an undershirt in the winter. They would be better summer tanktops if the overall cut was a little bigger and the armholes a little smaller. The shirt is overall a comfortable addition, and I do recommend it!

I really like this tank. The fit is flattering and the fabric is very comfortable. I've worn it rock climbing, to work, hiking...all over the place. It is very versatile. This is a great basic item to have.

Great tank. I wear to work under a cardigan and on weekends as a base layer. I am 5'7" and 152 lbs - I chose a medium and am happy with the fit. It is fitted but not tight. I wish it were a little longer - it sits right at the top of my jeans (modern fit-just below the waist). I wore it skiing this March and the temps were warm - upper 40s to low 50s. I sweat ALOT and wore it for two days skiing and two days prior as a base layer. The tank did not smell as I had expected. It had a slight odor after the 4th day, so I washed it. I look forward to wearing it this summer (in TX) alone and put a top over it if I get chilled in the A/C.
SmartWool tank

I love this tank - it fits closely to the body so there isn't any bulk when worn under other tops. This is the second tank I've purchased and I'll probably order another. I wear a SmartWool top almost every single day in the winter along with Smartwool socks or tights. The microweight is very soft - not at all itchy like some wool long underwear.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great valueGreat tank, base layer or going out tank

Cute colors and the wool wicks away moisture without any odor. I wear this tank on the ski hill and working in the field for my job. Great base layer!

material has a nice feel, but the white was way too thin and see through for me - I am sending that one back but will keep the petrol blue one which is a very nice color.
Wonderful layer under a business suit in the winter in N. Cal

I just discovered SW last year and I am hooked on the long underwear. I purchased a SWMT in black and I want every color! SW clothing is great, period. But the tank is the best - very versatile and not bulky under business clothes.
