Warm and light
March 12, 2012
I tried my new smartwool for snowshoeing last weekend in Jackson Hole. While all of my friends had to wear their heavy snow jackets, I was able to have only my smartwool, fleece, and vast for snowshoeing around 30 degree. I ordered a size small first (I am 113 lb and 5'3") but it is a little bit loose as for a base layer so I ordered another one in extra small. I also like that it can be machine washed and dried.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of useBest piece in my wardrobe

I wore this on a morning run (15 degrees F) and it was everything I was looking for: comfortable, warm but not too heavy, good looking at the end of the run (I run 3 miles to class), fast wicking and it doesn't smell. It's incredibly soft and cozy, but doesn't pill under other layers. This piece is thicker, softer and fits better than my Icebreaker tops. I have a 38" bust and the L had plenty of room in the shoulders, but doesn't look baggy or sloppy. Very pleased and will be buying at least one more.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Great value, good looking, cozy and comfortableBase layer
