Can't believe it's wool
I usually don't wear wool, both because it itches and gets too warm. But this microweight by Smartwool is very light and soft--nice underlayer in colder weather and nice on its own in warmer.

My new favorite
I love this micro-weight layer. It is the perfect layering for work and at home when you just need a little extra warmth. Very comfortable!
I love the smartwool brand and have used the baselayers for skiing & other winter sports, but they are a bit too warm for everyday stuff. This micro-weight is the perfect solution for those chilly days when you are not outside.

Great baselayer, comfortable and attractive, too!
This is another quality made Smartwool product. I've worn this as a baselayer and I'm amazed just how comfortable it is, adds warmth without ever making me feel hot. I love to sleep in it, too. In fact, on my next winter overnight I plan to wear this and a lightweight bottom in my sleeping bag. I learned the hard way that less is more is the trick for staying warm in your sleeping bag when it's cold. This should do the trick. I have this in peony, size Medium and it fits really well. I had to return the Large because it was just too big. I'm 5'3, 135, bust is about 36, so I guess it fits just right. Just a nitpick, but being short, arm length is almost always too long, but I just move the sleeves around and it works out okay. If you have long or "normal" length arms this should fit perfectly.

Great shirt, but don't get the white!
I am a fan of all Smartwool products, but unfortunately I had to return this shirt. I ordered it in the off-white color and it was so thin you could see straight through it. This is definitely a layering piece and not a shirt meant to stand on it's own. The arms also seem to run long.

soft and feminine
I got this to wear under light sweaters/shirts in the spring and fall. I have been wearing it lately in spring, in Colorado, and it is a perfect weight/warmth in cooler days. It is cut long, which I love as I am fairly tall-5'8", you can tuck it in and it will stay in. It is very soft and not at all itchy, and I have sensitive skin. I love the color-vibrant, yet feminine. I have also worn it on it's own, as it is pretty to look at-it doesn't look like 'long underwear'. The only downside is it was fairly expensive. I have quite a few Smartwool clothes and love them all-they last very well and always have great colors and are well cut, so feel they are a good investment.

Perfect Baselayer
Smartwool's microweight crew is my "go-to" baselayer. It is very comfortable, not heavy or scratchy, and keeps me just the right temperature. The styling, fit and quality of the microweight crew is better than any other merino baselayer that I have tried. I wear it for skiing, snowshoeing and hiking, but it looks good enough to wear around town on the weekends. It is perfect for the cold, windy and foggy days in SF and night games at the ballpark.

Lightweight and comfortable. Sleeves a bit tight in the upper arm area.
Good for casual wear and running. Keeps you warm on a chilly day even though lightweight.
Feels great against the skin.

Smartwool rocks!
I am a serious runner and this shirt makes me feel so much more comfortable then any other polyester shirt I used to wear before for years. Smartwool shirts wick away moisture quick and don't stink even after several times of wearing and sweating. I got also the lightweight and medium weight shirt for colder temperatures. Runs a bit small, you may want to size up. A must have for outdoor people!

Wow! Best long underwear ever!
I've worn smartwool socks for years, but I've never tried the long underwear. I'm so glad I did! This microweight top is so light I didn't feel it at all, but it really kept me warm during strenuous work in the cold. I was really sweaty when I came inside and took off my coat. The amazing thing is that I didn't get a chill, and I was completely dry within a few minutes. Also, no lingering smell. I'll try the bottoms next.

Best long underwear
I LOVE Smartwool - especially the microweight. Socks, tights, long sleeved tops and camisoles - they're all great. I'm going to order more Smartwool on Altrec as soon as I finish this review. The Smartwool machine washes and dries very quickly.

Love, love this shirt!
This is the 4th color I have purchased & absolutely LOVE them all. The shirt doesn't itch, fits nice & snuggly to you body making it perfect for layering. Also a perfect weight to wear any time of the year. We live in the mountains in the summer and there are many cool days & nights where this shirt is the perfect weight to put under a cotton tee or sweatshirt for added warmth.

I love this shirt and would recommend it to anyone! It is warm, but lightweight, and it's very soft and comfortable.

Versatile comfy shirt
I love this shirt. It's comfy, warm when it needs to be and I can wear it alone or as a baselayer. Smartwool never seems to smell like wet sheep when it's wet, unlike some of the other brands of wool available.

Smartwool Baselayer
The shirt fits really well, and the seams are very comfortable. I am able to wear it for school or for outdoor activities. It's very versatile. It keeps you warm but doesn't feel overly hot. The neck is open enough to make it feel like it's not choking you which is sometimes a problem. The natural white shirt is a bit see through, however.

Nice shirt.
Great color, generous drape, not a bit itchy. I ordered a large and it is not tight but not loose either. I am 5'9'' and weigh 148 pounds, chest 37 waist 32. It will still fit if I lose or gain a couple pounds. Very nice shirt. I bought one three years ago in a pink color and have washed it many times, in cold water, and I hang it to dry on a rack. I have never felt the need to iron it. It smooths out when I wear it. A winner. Can be worn under a sweater or on it's own.

Great Quality
I agree with other reviewers who said this shirt is definitely underwear. It makes for a really comfortable base layer that keeps me warm for hiking, running, cycling, etc., and doesn't smell bad after a few wears and washes like other base layer materials.

Soft and warm!
Too thin to be used on its own, but its great for layering!

Smartwool is great
This shirt is great for traveling. I can wear it day after day and it will stay dry and not retain orders. I will definitely buy more Smartwool products.

Good lightweigh warmth
I have the zip midweight smartwool, which can be worn by itself as a top. This version is truly underwear. Looks thin, but really provides good warmth underneath a top or sweater. I like it better than the polyester type I have had in the past...this definitely breathes much better.

Feels wonderful next to my skin.
This is actually my second one. I love that I can put it through the washer and the dryer. It really is a flattering fit.

Warm AND thin!
As a perpetually cold Minnesotan, I have wool directly in contact with my skin from October through March. This top is great because it is thin enough to wear under sweaters and long enough to tuck in easily. No drafts! It has only a tiny bit of itch that I imagine will disappear with a few washings. I purchased two!

Very satisfied with service & quality.
Excellent, exactly what I was looking for. Has the Smartwool quality I was expecting. Makes a terrific underlayer for indoors as well as out.
