Great socks
These smartwool socks feel great in terms of fit. They also keep you comfortable in a range of temperatures (teens to 50s) despite the fact that they are the "micro" fit, and don't go up the ankle much. I can't speak to durability because I just bought them. So far, they have washed well.

Best running socks ever.
I have tried several different socks for running, and while I had Smartwool for the winter, never considered it for running in the summer...I wish it hadn't taken me so long. They are extremely comfortable; my feet are never hot and they wick like crazy. Will never need to look for another running sock!

Best socks ever
I am sold on these great socks as they are the only ones I have found that fit small sized feet. They are warm and very comfortable to wear. It is great to not have the heel at the back of my calves.

Great comfy socks
Great all-round socks for any weather.
When I opened the package I was blown away by the bright, hot pink - I love that sparkling touch of red above my sneakers as I do my power walks. At first I thought they were going to be too harsh - not at all what expected. I was hoping for the lovely soft cushioning of wool - not the awful synthetic footbeds on most running socks. But Surprise, surprise, after I ran them through the wash (cold wash and rinse, regular cycle - plus dried in the drier.) Socks came out all fluffed and just what I was hoping for! Today's weather is in the mid 80s and my feet are dry and not at all hot.
I cannot comment on the durability as I have not had them long enough, but I expect them to last and last as they are well made of good material.

HOT COLOR FOR COLD FEET
I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER BRAND. BEAUTIFUL PATTERNS AND EXCELLENT FIT. I AM NOT A RUNNER BUT DISCOVERED THE MICRO SIZED SOCKS KEEP ME WARM AND STAY PUT ON MY FEET. AS AN OREGONIAN, FINDING THEM AT ALTREC REALLY SWEETENED THE DEAL.

running socks
Very comfortable and feet are still cool and dry after an intense hour long walk. For running, it doens't have much cushioning though, better to go for the cushioned ice breakers.

Best running socks ever!
I have been running in this style for a few years now and I like the improvements that have been made on the latest season. The right amount of cushion and wool makes for the perfect Northwest trail running sock.

These are the best running socks ever! They are lightweight and moisture-wicking.... the only sock I would use for marathons. They also hold up really well. I have had some pairs for years.

Love Smartwool Socks!
These socks are great for everything. They are warm, but keep your feet cool and dry. I am on my feet for 12+ hours a day and believe smartwool socks are what keeps my feet happy.

Good all-season sock
Very versitile sock, best used for running/biking in cooler weather but keeps foot cool and dry on hot days. Sock holds together well even when soaking wet and muddy and does not slip down foot. Size was initially big but eventually shrinks to your size after several washings.

Good socks
I purchased these socks to wear with my dance sneakers I wear for Zumba. The extra cushioning and support is great and though I'm highly prone to blisters and rub spots I haven't got any with these. My one criticism is with the toe area as it seems to have too much material and tends to bunch if I don't arrange it carefully when I put my shoe on. I haven't washed them yet so that may change. I'm a 9/medium.

Love these socks!
I have worn these socks while training and running in two marathons and one half - love them! No blisters! So comfortable and don't bunch up on rainy runs!

fit well, wash well, look good
These are great low-cut socks. I wear for cycling and with Keen sandals when it is chilly. Fit perfectly to my foot, snugly but not tight. Also wash easily. The Smartwool fabric keeps my feet dry. And they look good too!
