Just what I wanted
These socks feel great; the feet are cushioned and warm but the ankle is not too thick, so they fit well under pants and boots. I'm going to order some more colors.

Nice socks! This is my second pair! They are very warm and comfortable. I like the reinforced toe and heel suport is awesome! I highly recommend these socks!

smart wool socks
These socks fit very well the first time on. They hold up after repeated washings. Have now gotten extra pairs. They are now my favorite socks. I also wear them with out shoes.

Best Purchase
I hiked the Grand Canyon and did not get even one blister! These can stand up to a couple wearings without smelling like hiking socks. They are worth every penny

Excellent Product
These smartwool socks keep your toes warm and toasty without the itchiness of wearing wool. Perfect gift for the holiday season as the temperature drops. I needed to order a different color in a different size and used the appropriate button that allows this feature. I got an e-mail the next day that they were ready for me. I had trouble with a coupon code and used the Live Chat feature that Altrec has and got it all sorted out. Excellent product, excellent customer service and fast shipping! Overall great!

Versatile, comfortable, colorful and Smartwool!
Wow. Didn't realize I'd love a pair of socks so much. I just love how colorful they are and I wear them with clogs and jeans, athletic shoes and jeans and they work great with my hiking boots. I even wear them to bed until my feet warm up, which they do eventually with these. They wash well, but I line dry and use no fabric softener like I do all my Smartwool. I'll probably be ordering more of these for myself as well as Christmas gifts. What a great "stocking" stuffer.

Gorgeous socks, great comfort
I love these socks. I debated about which colors to choose when ordering, but my son chose these and he was right. They're beautiful, and the thickly cushioned soles make your feet feel wonderful. I wear them with my Dansko clogs, and they don't feel too thick in those shoes.
If you prefer a thinner sock, I also got the Margaritas, which I'll review separately, but I'm happy with those as well, and they might be better for a closer fitting shoe.
I can't really speak to the longevity of these socks, as I just got them, but my son has had some Smart Wool socks, and they seem to hold up very well.

She Loves Them

My favorites!
I just received my 6th pair of saturnsphere socks from Altrec. They are so comfortable and warm. They do seem to wear out after a year or so, but that just tells you how much I wear them!

Awesome Sock
I purchase these last year for myself for Christmas, they are the best ones in my sock drawer. They have held up very well and still look brand new. I'm back purchasing a pair for all my family members for Christmas this year!

Cushion is really good
I'm a huge fan of smartwool socks, and this is my third time to have another pair. I always wear them when running and trekking and they really help my foot relieved during my long walk or running trail or road thanks to the cushion they have. These socks should make me want to take off shoes and show my foot to others. They are really great and I plan to order other colors. It's really worth to price.

These socks kept my feet toasty during New Zealand's cold snap.
The fit is true to size and they didn't slide or ride around in my boots. I bought the black pair and the bright strips were a nice contrast. Best of all, the wool doesn't cause itching.

Great Socks
These socks are excellent. I own three pairs and often give them as gifts. I appreciate their comfort and the fun patterns. I'm always cold and these socks help me stay warm. The few extra dollars you spend are totally worth it.

Best socks from best sock brand
I really only want to wear Saturnsphere socks fomr Smartwool for the rest of my days. Soft wool, totally warm, and just the right amount of padding. They are fantastic!

fun and comfortable
I am a big fan of smartwool socks, but find the thinner ones tend to wear very quickly in the heel. This pair has a little more padding in the foot so I am hoping they'll last because I love the bright colors. They make me happy when I take my feet out of my winter boots on a snowy day.

Smartwool is the best
I love my Smartwool socks, expecially ones like Saturnsphere which come with a cushioned bottom. The cushion makes it very comfortable to wear and walk all day. The wool keeps your feet dry so you never get blisters or sore spots, and the colors and stripes are also fun. My only complaint is that the back of the sock where my shoe rubs tends to get thin faster than I would expect, but I have never gotten a hole. Once you wear Smartwool, it's hard to go back to cotton or synthetic!

Finally warm feet!!
I put on these socks and I could immediately feel the warmth. Then when I put on my shoes it was even better. My feet stay cold during the winter so I will definitely be buying more of these socks so I will never have to complain about cold feet again.

Quality sock though the wool was a bit scratchy to touch and a bit thin. Overall, I'd say it was a good pair.

Keeps my toes warm in winter
This is my 3rd pair of SmartWool socks. I live in California so I don't get as much use of these socks as I when living in the mountains. But on a cold day or on any trip to the cold I would not want to be without my Smart Wool socks. They are never too hot, just warm and breathable.

My favorite socks
I love smartwool socks and this is one of the most comfortable. They last a long time, look cute, and come in a variety of colors. I always look forward to putting them on. The stripes are the best because they coordinate with a variety of colors and some of the styles are bright and others are subtle. You definitely need a variety of socks to accommodate your wardrobe. I teach and wear them to school as well as for more casual activities. Do remember, you get what you pay for.

I had purchased a pair for myself prior to finding this cute, funky pair for my significant other on altrec.com. I already had an extreme fondness for smartwool, but now she loves them... probably more than I do. Now I'm always looking to find another pattern for her!

Words are not enough
These socks rock on every level. They don't shrink, they last forever and they are extremely comfortable. They are warm without feeling bulky. You can wear them anytime of year-- not just winter. I can't say enough good things about these socks other than you will in no way be disappointed.

Awesome Socks
The smartwool saturnsphere socks are super comfy. They are cushiony inside which I like and they regulate the temperature of your feet all day. The fit is perfect. they do not bunch at the toes or have extra fabric and that is awesome! I am super pleased with this purchase!

Super comfortable!

Extra cushioned, extra colorful
I already had a saturnsphere and got another one to add a bit more color to my wardrobe. I especially like this version of smartwool, which are BTW the BEST socks in the world because of their extra cushion. It's my official airplane sock.

They're wonderful
I lusted after these socks for a long time, and finally convinces myself to just buy them. I wasn't disappointed. They're soft, stretchy and great looking. I wore them snowshoeing last weekend and had very happy feet.

My most favorite socks ever
Awesome socks!!! Feel great on your feet. Just enough cushion to feel comfy but not so much as to make your shoes too tight. Great at wicking away the sweat for those that have a lot of foot sweat like myself.

Loved these socks

Finally got a pair
I've wanted a pair of Smartwool socks for a long time, and I am not disappointed. I plan to buy a few more pairs as soon as I can afford them. The light padding on the bottom and strechiness hugs your foot perfectly, they're soft as can be, and without a doubt the most comfy socks I've ever worn.

Best Socks Ever!!
I absolutely love these socks. I bought my first pair for a hiking trip. I am hooked now. They kept my feet dry and comfortable all day in the heat. Now, in the winter they keep my feet warm and snug. They are worth every penny you pay for them.

Saturnsphere & Margarita
Saturnsphere & Margarita: My two favorite types of Smartwool socks. They are both the perfect calf height for me - true mid calf, as opposed to some of the other Smartwools (e.g., Girls Best Friend and the Cable sock), which are great socks, but a tad bit shorter. The Saturnsphere have a little bit of cushion and are super-comfy. I LOVE to put these on when I get home. I also wear them out, with boots, but if you are inclined to wear tight shoes, they may cause your shoes to feel too tight. The Margarita socks are perfect for wearing to work and out and about. Although they are not thick, they keep my feet feeling great, and dry, because they don't seem to retain moisture. I tend to have sweaty feet and feet that get cold easily, so the dryness factor is of huge importance to me. Sweaty feet - that's not something I usually put out there, but I thought the info might be helpful to someone. I used to love cashmere socks. Now I only wear the cashmeres when all the Smartwools are in the laundry.

I'm ordering more
I now have two pairs of this black bottomed/striped sock. It's a little thicker than a typical work sock/stocking, yet it seems light. It keeps my feet warm on the bike ride to work and comfortable inside all day. Great sock, I cannot say enough about smartwool socks!

Great socks!
I've had other types of wool socks before but the Smartwool socks are the BEST! They are not itchy and keep my feet warm and dry with just the right amount of cushion to be comfy.

Comfortable and fun to wear
My wife loves these socks. Comfortable, keep her feet dry and great colors. Also they are fast drying socks if you need to wash when traveling. I initially bought two pairs and then bought two more pairs because she liked them so much. The only issue was the second order that had one pair larger than the other, however, my wife has decided to keep the larger pair since the leg is longer and works well with her boots.

The saturn is my favorite of all styles of smartwool. I have them in every color. So far I have never had a pair sag at the end of the day. The colors are great and mix and match with everything.

Super Warm
These socks are amazing. I recently purchased these socks for the stylish stripes, but after wearing them I realized how incredibly warm they are too. I generally wear them on approaches to the crag with hiking shoes and out on the town. I would highly recommend these.

really comfy!
These cushiony socks are extremely comfortable.. i used them on my 6-mile hike and i came home blister-free! The variety of colors keep them from looking ordinary... they can get a bit itchy, but a thin liner can definitely take care of that!
