These sox are amazingly comfortable. a little extra (not too much) cushion in just the right places. Excellent quality to live up to the smartwool reputation. I have smartwool sox that I have been wearing for over 15 years (being my favorite sox I wear them constantly) and they are just starting to wear thin. I wore these sox in the desert in 100 degree weather (my feet didn't get damp with sweat) and I have worn them skiing (feet stayed warm and dry). I absolutely love them. I have the average size calf and small ankles...they are not tight at all.

Purchased these socks for ski trip to Switzerland. My boots were much more comfortable when wearing these. I saw other reviewers wrote how great these were in cold weather. I learned they are also great in more favorable skiing weather.

These socks are wonderful. My ski boots are well insulated but these socks make them all the more comfortable.

Looking for socks that would be light but, warm for long walks with the dog in cold temperatures. These socks fit the bill 100%. They are also very stylish when sitting in front of the fireplace!
