I love smartwool stuff in general and this hoody is really cool! It turns into a turtleneck when not using the hood. The hood fits around the face and is perfect for cold weather. There is also a hole for a pony tail which is awesome! There is stretch in the hood so it is not tight at all but it does not allow wind to go through it. I love it!

What a modern and fantastic layer. This hoody does it all for me. It is a warm layer, the thumb holes keep your sleeves where they should be. The Smartwool is easy to care for. The hoody has a pony tale opening! Yes! It is a wonderful purchase. It comes in a fantastic dip dye red that is coral to candy apple red. The purple is vivid to black. You will love this for a long time. I used it as a layer for ski-doo riding. It was warm and yet felt non sweaty. I like how light it is. It does cling to the body without being restrictive. The sleeves are long for me but I like it that way. You need this layer.

Great color, attractive, and washes easily. Only complaint is that is doesn't seem to wick the sweat/moisture away as much as I expected. I did get a little chilly on my last winter hike after sweating, then finally stopping or sitting down for a few minutes. The fabric doesn't smell though, which is nice after you've been sweating all day in it.
