Great kids helmet
August 21, 2011
Adjustable fit - smith helmet fit system (similar to a bike helmet adjustment) adjusts fit in the back of the lid. A must have for kids helmets. Keeps the helmet secured in the proper position so front doesn't ride up exposing the forhead. Without this type of adjustment, getting the proper fit on a kids helmet is next to impossible. Some ventilation, not alot and not adjustable. But its better to be on the warm/dry ide I.M.O. Great removable pad set: over the ear pads come off easily, & removable goggle clip = Multi-sport helmet, though not officially certified for bike riding. Only negative is the green matte finish was easily discolored by contact with sunscreen.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value, smith warranty

this helmet was hands down the lightest helmet I've ever owned. You put it on and you eventually forget you're wearing it. I would indeed recommend this helmet!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use

I really like this helmet, it fits well and very light. You do not notice you're wearing this. Also, it's good for cold weather. Ears stay nice and warm enough , with a full inch of insulation over them. So far, this helmet perfect!

This is a great low-profile, low-weight helmet. These days it seems that most jackets aren't cut to easily accomodate a helmet. When a hood actually fits over a helmet, as soon as you zip up the collar (if you even can!#, you likely won't be able to move your head even in the slightest bit. Fortunately, this helmet is low profile enough, that quite a few hoods actually do allow some mobility, even trim-fit softshells. If your someone who gets out there on sub-zero F stormy days, then you know how valueable a hood can be, even if you have a helmet to block the wind. The helmet also fits well, whether it's a bare head, or over a fleece balaclava #Patagonia R1 Hoody) - without those annoying adjuster dials. The interior is designed with adjustable flaps to cover vents, to reduce or eliminate airflow on the colder/windier days. Finally, this helmet is very lightweight - I appreciate it on backcountry days where I want the protection of a helmet. It comes in at 11.5oz which is almost as little as my lightweight climbing helmet!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use
