Nice goggle
April 08, 2012
Phenom is a quality goggle with good optics. The rose color is good in a variety of light conditions. I especially like the sticky strip on the inside of the strap for holding the goggle in place on a helmet. It is a medium size - I'd prefer it be a little bigger but it's still a fine piece of equipment.
Pros: Build quality, Great value, Performance, Cons: could be a little biggerGreat Goggle - Great Look

Love these new Smith Goggles. I bought the Vantage Ski Helmet and these are made to integrate with it. The two in combination are PHAT ! Even without the helmet, these goggles can stand alone. The lens quality is superb. Great feel on the face. No Fog ! Highly recommended to anyone looking for new goggles or looking to upgrade an older pair.

Awesome googles

I have used these googles 5 times since my purchase last year. With that said they have only fogged up once. It's great because the anti-fog is burned on the lens so u don't have to worry about wiping it off. As far as sizing I have an average size head and it fits great. I definetly recommend.

Awsome goggle....great contrast in all lighting. I highly recommend this goggle. Great for open Bowls, Woods and great in low light conditions. It has a variety of lenses and styles which makes it appealing. I prefer the Sensor Mirror Lense.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great valueReally Nice

These are my very first pair of snow goggles.. and I'm really happy with them. I have gotten a lot of compliments for them. The only complaint I have is that there is a small gap between my nose and the goggle. But that is not the fault of the goggles. My nose bridge is just low. Otherwise, the goggles are really cool looking and pretty scratch resistant.
Great Goggles

These are flat out the best googles I have ever worn. I have the Ignito Mirror and Sensor Mirror for varying conditions, and while they aren't as easy as the I/Os in terms of lens changing, it isn't tough or time consuming. THe ventilated top lets your face breath a little if need be, and the dual lens technology resulted in NO fogging. You can't go wrong here.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great valuePerfect fit

I need a larger goggle to fit my face and these are perfect. They do not cut off all of my peripheral vision and they don't pinch my nose like other goggles have. They were comfortable to wear all day. I would definitely recommend these to others.
Pros: Great design, Ease of useGreat Goggles

These are great goggles. The gold mirror is great for spring skiing, the RC 36 is a good all weather lenses and the senor mirror is great for low light. The Phenom also has more a medium fit were as the Prodigy is better for larger faces.
the best

First off, I want to say Altrec did a wonderful job of making sure these goggles were to me fast and in great condition, the purchasing process was super easy and painfree. The goggles themselves look great, they fit perfectly with my helmet, and they don't budge once they're in place. You'll love the vent above the frame, it helps keep you from dealing with some fogged up vision. I can't talk about durability a lot because I haven't really gotten to use them hard yet, but from the feel of them I expect these to last me quite a while. Overall, I highly recommend these goggles, but more importantly, I highly recommend purchasing your gear through Altrec. You won't regret it.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great valueSuper Goggles

I am a ski patroller so goggles are very important to me and these are flawless. The Platinum Mirror lens works well in most light conditions and they never fog up.

I've always figured I had an average face, but EVERY model I tried on from Oakely to Scott pinched my nose. These fit like a dream and work like a champ. For my face, there is nothing else that comes close. Lens quality is great as well in nearly all lighting conditions. Clip on the back of the strap is a nice touch as well. Makes for easy on/off.
Pros: Great design, Build qualityPretty Good Purchase

I bought these goggles this past winter season and they're definitely the best goggles I've had. The main reason is because the vents actually do work in controlling the air and so I haven't had the same problem I've had before with other goggles that fog up from your facial heat. They also fit well on my helmet, a Giro standard helmet, and didn't take long to secure. I'd recommend them compared to some similar goggles for the price
Pros: Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: CostZ Perfect Goggles

Quality, Comfort, Customization. I got top of the line Oakley, Spy and Smith goggles, the most comfortable and customizable are clearly the Smith. Very well vented, never had any fogging problem with Smith. From bright morning sun to night skiing you'll the perfect overall lens is the Sensor, gives you excellent balance of light in any condition. 5 stars lens quality. Real helmet compatibility. Comes with 2 exchangeable straps. Sure the price is high but your vision, safety and comfort deserve the extra expense. If you need eye glasses on the slope then go with the Smith Prodigy. Same top quality as the Phenom but larger volume especially for large faces and/or eyeglasses compatibility.

PUrchased these as a gift for my husband and he loves them. We are heading to Telluride this week and he's anxious to use the other lenses in variable light conditions. The only con is the strap. It releases very easily upon removing from the helmet. I think the goggles are meant to be used with a Smith helmet.
Pros: Build quality, Performance, Cons: Bad design, bad design as far as the strap.Already own the Smith Phenom Goggle? Tell us your thoughts.

Smith's goggles have a great warranty policy. The goggles look great and fit very well. These have excellent padding and the clip at the back is easy to use.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great valueOutstanding lense

I ordered these in the black intersection/sensor lense combo. I have to say the sensor lense is outstanding in flat light. Unfortunately, the fit wasn't quite right for my face, the goggles were a little smaller than expected, and I found peripheral vision to be a little restricted, so I returned them and went with the I/O instead, which comes with the same lense.
Good goggle bad lens

The Phenom goggle performs well. Never fogged up. Comfortable. I have a smaller face and they fit me well. But the sensor mirror lens I have has formed a cloudy condensation that will not come off. Not sure if its a double lens and condensation got in between them, but it makes for poor clearity. Might just have a defective lens. Planning on returning them. Only used maybe 5 times last season.
Pros: Great design, Cons: Poor qualityA superior product that has a great one-two punch with the lense

These are incredible goggles at a great price. The RC 36 is a good sunnier days and the senor mirror excels in low/flat light conditions.
Good with some bad.

I researched the lens tint from Smith and chose the Sensor lens since they claim it's the most versatile. I found it to work good in low but not so good when the sun comes out. You have to squint your eyes to fight the glare. They fit great but I think I would try another lens.
