i have nothing but good to say about the boots and the service. the boots arrived on time and are better than advertised - very warm and comfortable. also, the customer service rep was more than helpful in answering questions that i had. well done to everyone involved!
Heavy Duty Snow Boots
June 20, 2012
Boots are very well made - built like a tank. They are probably best used for shoveling snow or walking on snow or ice covered streets. But they are not extremely flexible and are heavy making them less than a perfect choice for hiking in the snow. The biggest negative can be that they only come in whole number sizing. If you need 1/2 sizing the boot will either be extremely difficult to put on or loose to the fit. The removable wool liner can be both a plus and a minus. Recommendation to a friend would depend on the friend's intended use and shoe size.Pros: heavy duty construction, Cons: only comes in whole sizes

Ordered these for my husband to replace a pair of Sorel boots he had from a while ago. Great boot! They live up to the great quality of the Sorel brand, keeping him warm and dry during the long winter storms that dump feet of snow in our town. The boot is just tall enough for him tramping around in the slush and snow. Great purchase!Pros: dry, warm
Boots were not up to expectations
December 24, 2009
I will never order from this company again. The boots were not satisfactory and when I called to return them, I was treated with NO NO NO, hung up on and there was nothing they could do. I went directly to Sorel and they were very accommodating and took care of the problem right away. Very poor customer service from Altrec. I am sure this will never be posted.
Toasty toes in Colorado
January 01, 2010
I have bought these boots for myself, my husband, and my son in Colorado, and we all love them. They keep feet warm even in light activity, and their warmth and traction make them perfect when shoveling snow. We find the wool liners to be great slippers as well.
