Mens Sorel Boot
March 03, 2012

I looked and looked for a womens boot that I could use for the farm. I needed something that I could slip on real quick and dash out the door rain snow or shine. Nada. couldn't find nothing. Then I remembered my husband gave me his new Vasquez hiking boots that I really like. So I went to the mens dept. and there they were. I decided in two minutes that is what I needed. They are comfy and slip right on. I will use them for the farm and camping.

Great product but sizing is off
February 11, 2012

Great product, excellent finish and a good design. Unfortunately had to return them. They run about half a size too small, especially in the toe box area. I ordered a size 10.5 which would normally would have fit me with ample room to take into account a thick pair of winter socks. I am 6ft, 160 lbs. I recommend this product but one should order a half size up.

Pros: design, quality
Cons: sizing

Great Value
February 02, 2012

I purchased these boots for my son and he loves them! They are extremely comfortable and yet thus far sturdy and durable. I would have preferred them to be available in half sizes but they were not and so we went with the next full size and they fit as expected so they run true to size. The inner lining is padded for extra warmth and comfort.

Pros: sturdy water proof sole
Cons: no half sizes available

Good quality ... tight fit
February 02, 2012

I saw the reviews - some said they fit fine and others recommended a full-size larger. I split the difference and went with a 1/2 size larger than my regular shoe size ... drum-roll please .... WRONG! My toes were getting crunched, so I sent the boots back and will now try a full size larger.

great Boot for New England
January 24, 2012

I live in NH and this boot is great for 1-6" of snow as well as slush and or those muddy slushy melting snow days. I ordered these because I wanted something to quickly put on my feet to take my 2 dogs outside. These have turned out to be far more comfortable and I could easily spend a day in them. I would definitely order a size up. I typically wear a Men's size 12 and I ordered a 13....they fit perfect.

Pros: well made, very comfortable, good insulation, easy on/off

good boots
November 13, 2011

just moved to maine from the south and have been looking for a quick and easy on/off warm waterproof won't-slip-on-the-ice boot. finally stumbled across these bad boys. i'm used to flip-flops 10 months a year so i needed something just as easy to get me through the coming winter. was able to test them out early given our recent snow and they were fantastic. fully water proof, great grip on snow/ice, easy on/off, very warm and i think they look great. as for fit, i read several reviews saying they run big or small. in general i'd say they're on the big side but you have to realize that any slip on boot without laces or zippers will fit a little more loosely otherwise you would never be able to get it on. i'm 5 11", 160lb, usually a size 10-10.5 i ordered a size 11 premiums but they were too big, i reordered a 10 regular cheyanne which fit well if not still a little loose. maybe a 9.5 would be snug but i dont' might a little wiggle room. these aren't hiking boots, they're "get me through mud and snow from my back door to work/mailbox/grocery/ski lodge in comfort boots" pull the trigger and get a pair, you wont' regret it. side note: the difference between the premiums and the regulars wasn't crystal clear at first glance. they have the same insulation, water proof etc etc just different upper leather material

Pros: slip on, warm, comfortable, stylish, water proof, good grip on ice
Cons: might take 2 tries to find the right size

Good Boots
March 14, 2011

A little tough getting on but comfy. Might be better with a bigger pull strap at the back. I might add one myself. They are comfortable. The price is great compared to other brands for similar product.

Pros: comfortable, price
Cons: tight getting on

Good boots, but too small
March 13, 2011

Boots seem to run small. I am a size 9 in shoes and ordered a size 9.5. Yet, the boots look well designed and sturdy. I ended up to return them. Altrec.com has excellent service, and I am planning to buy a pair of boots but size 10.5.

Pros: good price
Cons: inconsistant sizing

Great boots, but do not run that small
February 24, 2011

Following suggestions made by other buyers, I purchased the boots a bit bigger, but unfortunately it didn't fit in my hub's. I mean, it was reeeeally bit, not just a little loose. Think about buying the exact size... Overall, I think it is a great option if you need to work or walk in snow. We need to shovel very now and then here in Chicago, so it serves its purpose very well. I am trying to find a smaller size now, as he liked the boot a lot and the price is fair. Highly recommended. And, as always, nice and smooth transaction with Altrec.

Quality product
February 09, 2011

I love the style. The boots are handsome. The Bruno color matches lots of my winter gear. The boots are durable especially in the NYC with snow, ice, rain and sleet. I'm 5'8" and 180lbs and I am a size 10. I ordered a size 11 due to other reviews saying they run small. Size 11 fits but I wish they were a little wider. My favorite features are the traction and slip on detail.

Good boot - sizing a little off
February 08, 2011

After reading all the reviews I ordered a pair that were 1/2 a size larger than I typically wear and realized that was a mistake. I should have either ordered my size or 1/2 a size smaller. Unfortunately the weather was so bad I had to wear them and now have to deal with the off size.

Good business casual boots!
February 06, 2011

Size is good, perhaps a bit smallish. Easy to get on and off. I was worried about this aspect. Good to wear at work all day especially if you office is on the cool side. Not as clunky as a lot of snow boots. Not the kind of boots for heavy duty snow shovelling but great if you place of employment is business casual. They are warm but not so warm that if you wear them all day your feet cook in them. I would recommend these boots as the provide good slip protection.

Not to warm
February 01, 2011

As per the reviews I ordered one size larger then I wear . It was a good thing I did because they would not have fit. The boot is pretty comfortable but my feet got cold while standing on snow and ice. If I was walking around they where fine. I bought them to walk dog and run errands which they work fine for.

Runs VERY small
January 13, 2011

Be very careful when ordering. Other reviews stated that the boot runs small so I went up a half size from my normal boot size. Boots arrived and way too small. My toes hit the toe even with liteweight socks. Had to return and afraid that not even a full size would be big enough. Sort of disappointed since they were what i was looking for for a quick trip to the store etc.

What I was looking for
January 12, 2011

I wanted a slip-on boots to shovel the driveway and take the dog out. I tried several other brands and was not happy enough to want to pay the higher price. These Sorels were reasonably priced and are perfect for what I need them for. They would not be good for ling walks or hiking, but for easy access to get outside, they're great. Well made. Order a half size up.

Very Practicle Purchase
January 05, 2011

I recieved the boots quickly, and put them to the test right away. I live in the upper midwest where the climate changes on a dime, and the first day I used these, the outside temperature was about 5 degrees F. The boots kept my feet comfortably warm for about 2 hours with normal socks on and normal physical activity. The boots are extremely comfortable for normal use, and fit true to the size you order. They also offer good traction in snow/ice conditions. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a great name-brand boot that is extremely efficient and versatile for short-use outdoor activities. These are perfect for shoveling snow, getting the mail, & taking the garbage out. Either way, I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a slip-on style boot!

Hard-to-Find Classic
November 10, 2010

Excellent slip-on boot for wet & snow. Easy on and off and perfect for almost all casual winter conditions in the Ohio Valley. Wet-proof and well-made in a classic style that's getting harder to find. Fit is a bit tight -- OK for regular socks, but a half size larger will accommodate woolies.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Ease of use

Great boots
August 21, 2010

This boot is great for quick slip when I am in hurry, or my dog needs to go out in snow. Highly recommend.

Can't be without!
July 17, 2010

We live in the Northeast. HARSH winters, snow/ice/rain... These are a must have. Slip on/off. Remind me of the LL Bean slip on that they quit making- except more comfort. Took me 6 months to find this boot!

Great sorel boot but.....
March 24, 2010

My second pair because they take a very long time to wear out, I'll have these for the rest of my life. I do wish I would have known about the 1/2 size up though, I would have been happier with a 10.5, but by the time I got them they were out of stock and I needed them for a ski trip that weekend, so I'm stuck with a boot that is a little small, but they are still great boots.

Arapaho Snow Boot - perfect!

A pair of these should be standard issue in anyone's closet- great for all season muck use- nearly indestructible. great snow show as well, order 1/2 size up

Love It!
January 18, 2010

Wore out my first pair after 18 years of constant use. It took 4 years of hunting the web to find this one, thanks to Altrec. At 76, I'll probably be buried with them on.

Sorel boot
January 12, 2010

I bought 1/2 size larger and they fit perfectly. Quality appears to be fine. Very comfortable, easy to slip on and off. Good traction on ice/snow. Obviously, too short and open at top for deep snow.

Great boot, bad sizing
December 29, 2009

These are great, well-made boots but I had to return them due to the fit. The 8.5 I ordered was too short in length yet, as I walked, my heels would slip out. Ordering a larger size clearly wouldn't have worked. With a good fit I'm sure these would have been awesome. Now trying a different brand...

I've had a pair of these for years and when it came time to replace them, I could not get them locally. I was very glad to find them with ALtrec and they are so quick to put on and get out for a quick errand or out with the pup.

Everyday Winter Boot
December 21, 2009

Nice practical boot for everyday use, but not a cold (-25C) winter boot in my opinion. Fits 1/2 size small with only 1 pair of socks and a felt insole. For extra pair of socks may want one full size larger. Inserting a felt insole makes a big difference insulating the rubber boot bottom.

nice boot
December 19, 2009

these were a replacement of a pair i wore for ten years. while the new pair no longer has the felt insert, they are just as warm. they slip on easily yet stay on when walking. i wear them without socks comfortably. run a little small to size.

Comfortable, easy on and off
December 14, 2009

Boots could have a little more insulation in the toe area!!! Other than that perform well for walking and comfortable. Order next 1/2 size or so, if you would prefer to were thick socks.

Nice casual snow boots
December 03, 2009

Terrific boot for easy on and off and around town use. Comfortable and flexible and warmer than you'd think. I really like the lack of laces, zippers, makes for a nice plop and pull entry, good for walking the dog. Wouldn't be good for large drifts or expeditions. Definitely need to size up a half size for good fit, especially with thicker socks...I wear a 10 normally and got a 10 1/2 in this and fit fine. I really like the gum rubber sole, but can be slippery on ice so take it easy.

My last pair lasted 20 yrs, I love these boots!
November 30, 2009

Warm and comfy, so easy to slip on and head out into the yard.
