4.5 out of 5

I purchased this boot in size 8 after reading others' reviews on this particular Sorel product. I normally wear a size 8.5 in all my footwear. I am SO glad that I took the advice of others regarding the sizing of this boot. There is plenty of room in there when I wear a heavy sock. I wonder if I could have purchased a size 7 (since this boot does not come in half sizes) but I am 100% happy with the size 8. This boot is very warm, very bulky (though I still managed to drive a Honda clutch in them, with some effort) and overall excellent for all my uses. I bought the boot for ice fishing and goose hunting primarily since I get cold feet very easily but also wanted something that was high and easy to slip on for shoveling the driveway, going to the store, and brushing off the snow on the cars. I love this boot so much! My dad has an old pair very similar to the Sorel Glacier and after "borrowing" his for the past 3 years, I finally decided to invest in my own pair. His have lasted him close to 15 years so far and I know that mine will hold up just as well. This boot would not be my number one pick for hiking, but it has been used for hiking just fine. When I am worried about my feet freezing, this boot is my go-to pick.Pros: warmth, height of boot, quality of manufacturer
Warm but huge

I was considering these boots and a more traditional winter duck boot. I had the duck boots in my cart. But, when I went to check out, it said they were no longer in stock. So, I bought these boots instead. They seem to run somewhere between 1/2 to one full size big. Also, they are huge. They are okay to wear with a full snow suit, but I would never be able to wear them around town in jeans, etc. Also, they are so big there is no way you would be able to drive wearing them. BL: If you want a warm pair of boots, and don't mind them being absolutely ginormous, these are for you.Pros: warm, Cons: huge
