After I bought my first pair, I was hooked. These slippers are wider and more comfortable than others I've had. I ordered two additional pair to take camping and to have a back-up pair because my dogs seem to like them too!

Great Slipper

This is a great looking slipper. I have another pair of the manawan slipper in the color cardinal red. They feel great and are nice to have on a cold winter morning. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who needs a good slipper that's built to last.

Manawan Slippers

These slippers are well made. The bottoms are great for walking around in. However, the material inside was simply not for me. It was not as soft as I had hoped for and soon became uncomfortable as my feet began sweating. I am also a 10.5 Wide and the 11's I received were a bit too narrow. The customer service is great though and I'm sure I will find another type of slipper to suit me. Thanks.

Just receiived these slippers today and put them on, normal foot is a size 10, up sized to an 11, perfect fit, they have a non slip sole, could not be happier.

Great winter slipper

These are very comfortable, warm and practical. They are great for inside and outside around the house. Perfect for those late Monday night 'take the garbage to the end of the driveway runs'. My wife who has another kind of slipper is jealous and now I will be ordering her a pair similar to mine.

These slippers are very practical, comfortable and warm. They are perfect both for inside the house and outside. Ideal for those late Sunday night 'take the garbage to the end of the driveway runs'. My husband loves these slippers. They are comfortable, warm and very durable. He has worn them for one winter season already and they appear to have held-up very well. We expect them to last several more years. He typically wears a size 10 and 1/2, so I ordered a half-size up (size 11) and they fit great. Highly recommend.

Worth Seeking

Saw these in a store after looking for a couploe months. They didn't have the size, so ordered online. I live in a colder climate and wear slippers or moccasins 2-4 hours/day. These are the best ever!!!

too large/too wide

Ordered size 11 and they are too big. I wear size 11 or 11.5 in athletic shoes so I am dissappointed I'll have to eat return shipping to get the next size smaller. Altrec's sizing chart shows 11 correspoonds to 44 EUR, but the label on the Sorel box says 11 and EUR 45 1/3. Wish they'd all get on the same page. They are very wide as well.

I have searched multiple websites to find this slipper and found success at Altrec.com Not only is this slipper practical, it has warmth and comfort that I need on cold Vermont nights! If I realized I forgot to put the garbage out, I do not need to change shoes since the rubber soles are durable enough for a quick trip outside. These are definitely the slippers to buy!

High quality materials, very comfortable. Take off work shoes when arrive home and wear slippers all the time at home - on to outdoor porch; out to garage. The bottom material is tough to withstand my usual uses. The quality is much better than any slippers previously purchased.

Warm slippers!

Great slippers! I wanted a replacement for my 1 year old Sorel Flacon Ridges, the insides are just starting to wear out, and wanted something a little taller for running outside in the winter. The Manawans are great, nice an warm, with just enough height to run out in the snow.

I have always been a Sorel fan. Once someone told me that they made slippers, I had to try them out for myself. These slippers are amazing! I grew up in cold climate and I would have loved these as a kid! Altrec had lightning fast service and I thank you! These slippers are a great way to look neat and even stylish while keeping warm and dry. I almost never wear socks during warmer seasons; now I do not have to wear any during cooler seasons either. All this without looking bulky and clumsy. Nice.

If you're spending most of your time walking on hardwood floors these are the slippers for you. Having spent the last two years wearing the standard issue shearling lined moccasin these are just what the doctor ordered. The extra thermo protection in the soles keeps the chill of the hardwood from drawing your body heat down through the bottom of your foot, thus keeping your foot WARM and DRY as apposed to cold and sweaty. All the moisture-wicking properties of other slippers is worthless if you can't keep the floor from sucking all of your body heat down through the bottom of your feet. These are GREAT. As a side note, I keep the house a little on the cool side and in the mornings I would kick on the space heater to take the chill out of the room. But since I've been wearing my Sorrels, the chill hasn't been as noticeable, so the heater has been left off. Who knew having the right slipper would save energy (i.e.money) and keep me comfortable.

I purchased these based on the positive reviews here and having owned these over a week now I would agree with the praise offered- except that I feel it falls short of the mark. First, a few mundane details: Based on the various opinions regarding the sizing, I had a bit of anxiety over what size to order. I ended up getting what I usually wear in shoes - 11.5 (sometimes I wear 12 depending on the brand) and they fit me perfectly fine. I previously had a pair of Bearpaw moccasins which I was very happy with, but after three years of faithful service they were ready for retirement. I had almost bought another pair but I was eager to be free of the loathsome laces they had. Such laces as would not stay tied for any length of time regardless of the method or forces applied to them. Almost mocking they were with their complete disregard for friction. So, I jumped on these Manawan's when I saw them. Let me tell you, friends, that equipping my feet with these is an experience beyond that of simply donning some footwear. It is difficult to put to words but it is something like what I imagine it would feel to wear an artifact of magical power. Something much greater than seems possible with the basic materials they are constructed from. Donning these items brings to one a feeling of smiling, benevolent warmth chasing away the cold like the feel of the mid day sun on your face while a cold winter wind blows at your back. I will warn you though to exercise some caution with these. Within the span of one week I have noticed that these seem to have an ever growing influence on me. I notice that I am having more difficulty each time I try to take them off. They fill my thoughts whenever I am away from them. The other night I attempted to take them off to climb into bed and I found myself pausing and thinking "no, not yet, just a few more minutes and then I can take them off" and finally having to summon up more willpower than I ever thought could be necessary to remove some "slippers" and climb into bed. When I wake, I climb out of bed and into these once more. Taking them off again to put my boots on is like tearing a bandage off of a wound. Today I began wearing them for the drive to work. I am still not sure weather these things are good or evil, but I am sure that I will not be parted from them. For, though I buy them at a reasonable price; they are precious to me.

These slippers are great for leisure wear. The leather, linings, and soles are of top quality materials. Sizing is right on--not easy to find in a Size 14! I especially like the durable sole that will allow for quick runs out for the mail, the newspaper, and to the garage. I highly recommend this slipper for anyone who really relies on good slippers during the winter months.
