Great Boots
These are great boots - very warm, comfortable. Perfect for playing outside in the snow with the kids! I ordered the black & it is very versatile - great with jeans or okay on a wintery day with slacks.

I like these boots a lot. They kept my feet dry and warm in a recent snow storm here in Seattle. I'm not sure how well they would do in super cold climates but they worked just fine for the weather here. I also found them to be sturdy but not too heavy like other winter boots I tried. I've tried another style of Sorel boots which were way too bulky, inflexible, and impossible to drive in but these were just fine! They run pretty true to size if not maybe even a little bit small. I typically wear an 8.5 or 9 and went with the 8.5 in these. My toe was right at the end and I'd be curious to see if the 9 might have been a bit better for me. At any rate, don't go a size down!

Needed to size down
I was really excited to see that Sorel is now offering half sizes. I ordered my usual size (7.5) and was surprised that the boot was actually too large, so I will be returning for size 7. Other than that, this is exactly what I am looking for to replace an older pair of Sorels. I expect them to keep my feet dry, they aren't super stiff and they are relatively lightweight.

these boots are one of the best to wear during the winter. perfect for cleaning the snow,playing with the kids.it keeps you warm during the whoile seson. they are very stylish and there is no need to change into a different pair of shoes.

Great Boots
The materials are good quality. The boots are durable, not too heavy, very comfortable fit, and they look cool :) I haven't worn them in the snow yet, but they look and feel like they will keep the water out and will have good grip and traction

great boots
I live in seattle and these boots are perfect for all sorts of condition. They fit true to size and is very comfortable. it keeps my feet toasty in the snow and dry in down pours.

Not waterproof
The boots feel like boots. I still would have liked them but they leak water, that is not what I wanted. Boots look clunky on. The boots were semi comfortable.

nice boot
Very comfy boot I like to ice fish and go sledding with my kids and these boots are great for that. I like them so much I want to get another pair in a different color.

Great Snow Boots!
These boots have everything I was looking for. I spend a lot of my vacation time in the mountains and these are perfect. They are great looking and keep my feet warm and dry in deep snow. Terrific for shoveling two feet of snow! They are easy to put on and take off. They look heavier in the pictures than they actually are. The light weight is a nice bonus! They fit me true to size. I highly recommend these boots as a solid value. They are very functional, comfortable, and cute too! What else could you want in a winter boot?

The best boots for bad weather!
These boots are comfortable and durable. They're great for really cold and wet weather! They are easy to put on and come out of unlike some that can be a bit time consuming! They were everything i wanted in a boot when it came to me having to shovel snow! I felt safe and confident when i was walking not worried about slipping on anything! I wasnt complaing that my toes or anything were cold! The price is right the only thing i would change about it is i think it can b a little more stylish and feminine!

Very warm and comfortable boot
I just received these boots and they feel very nice when you slip them on. I live in Colorado and have never had a good snowboot. I have owned hunting boots that were very rigid and this pair of Sorels feeling like I am wearing slippers compared to those hunting boots. I was looking of a boot to easily slip on and go and these boots seem to fit the bill. I usually wear size 8 or 9 so I ordered size 8.5. They slip a little on the heel, but I am sure an extra pair of socks will take care of that problem. The lace loops are also alittle large and the laces are always falling out of them. However, their size does make them easy to thread back up. Overall, they look nice, feel very warm and will last me for winters to come.

Love These boots
True to size,very comfortable,warm. The true test on the warmth factor will be our trip to Alaska in Feb. The Sorel boot was recommended by the friends we will be visiting there,that is what they wear!

Great purchase
This has been my first online purchase ever, and I must say I am very satisfied with the purchase-receiving process and also with the products I have acquired. I really like these boots. They are a perfect shield for my feet. No more wet and cold feet! Though, the boots are a bit heavier than I thought . But overall these boots are really good.

Great winter boots
Someone at work recommended these boots and I was not disappointed. Great for snowy, wet, icy weather. Good traction. Keeps feet warm, dry, and protected. And they are very comfortable. I thought they felt true to size and width. My feet are big (8.5 and B width). Get these boots they are awesome for winter!!!

Perfect choice
Love these boots!! They are warm and comfortable. I am 5ft. 3in. 140 lbs. I will be traveling to Alaska in March and I know they will be perfect for the trip. Will also use them at home this winter in NM when the snow comes. Can't wait to wear them! The fit is perfect. I wear a size 7 shoe and ordered a 7 boot.

Great!
I have yet to try them out in cold weather or snow, but the fit is great. Very comfortable and snug. I have normal width feet and other boots i've tried on are a bit wide but these are not. Doesn't take long to get in and out of them. Very stylish as well.

Comfortable!
Great boot! Very warm and good fit. I wear a size 10-11 and the 11 fit perfect! I would definitely recommend them.

Love the boots but loose in the ankle
The boots are great - cute, toasty, nice insole, good tread, fair price. The overall size of the shoe is good, but even with two pairs of socks and the laces pulled tight, the boots are loose in the ankle, causing me to "clop" a bit when I walk. Am returning, unfortunately.

Fabulous boot and runs TRUE to size
I bought this boot after reading countless Sorel boot reviews and decided this was the ONE. Read that it ran large so I bought an 8 (I am an 8 or 8.5 normally). I am now buying the 9 and will compare -- so my recommendation would be to run your regular size, with an allowance for the type of socks you will wear. Go Sorel!

Sturdy but runs a little large
They seem like really nice, sturdy boots. I usually wear anywhere from an 8 to a 9 and I got the 9 because that's all I could find anywhere in stock on the internet. Unfortunately, they're definitely too large. I suspect the 8 would have been fine. But I like them, they're comfortable, a little clunky, but practical for trudging around in serious snow and not bad looking. I can't comment on how warm or water proof they are since I only wore them around my living room. Perhaps I'll look for them again in the fall when there are more out there.

Worth the $$$
The first pair of hardcore snow boots I ever bought were a $40 pair from Rite-Aid drugstore. Now, these served their purpose, but fell apart recently, and I needed a new pair. Having heard so many great things about Sorel, I decided to finally bite the bullet and make the investment. And I am not sorry! I walk 45 minutes to work every day in these (in the frigid Midwest time of year called Janufeb ... not warm!), and my feet remain nice a toasty! Another thing I've noticed, my feet don't sweat too much in them either (a problem with my Rite-Aid knockoffs). And they are much more streamlined and narrower than many outdoor/all-weather boots I've looked at. I highly recommend for warmth and style! And from I hear, Sorels last forever, so, I'm thinking the $$ isn't bad either.

Loved them!
I purchased these boots right before our CO ski trip and I loved them. We went snow-mobiling, tubing, sledding, and out walking around and I was very comfortable in these boots. I wear a 10 and could have almost gotten a 9.5 and still had plenty of room with thick sock. *Previous reviews were very helpful to me with this product.

VERY WARM AND COMFORTABLE!!
I really love these boots.....i just tested them out we got about 12 inches of snow and they kept my feet warm and dry. They are easy to get in and out of too. Very durable.....i usually wear a nine but they were sold out of that size so i chanced it and went with an 8 1/2 and they fit great!

good all weather boot
i wear a size 7.5 and i bought these in a 7. they were huge. i had to exchange them for a 6. i probably could have fit into a 5.5. they are very wide especially around the heel. i would definitely recommend trying them on first. got them the day before a blizzard hit the east coast and they were great.

Good Looking and Comfy
They run true to size. I normally wear a 7 1/2 and that size fits perfectly. They are comfortable and stylish. Haven't tried them out in the snow yet but suspect they will be very warm. They seem to be very well made. No regrets so far.

Love these Boots
I love these boots. The first boots I have ever worn that kept my feet both warm and dry. I was so worried about the fit and comfort. I must have read 100 reviews before ordering. I find these boots to run true to size and extremely comfortable. The dark tundra color is so cool and hope to buy another pair in white. I highly recommend these boots and this company.

great boot for price
I live near mountains and love to get outdoors while it's snowing. These boots are lightweight and I can draw them tight enough to my leg to avoid snow falling down the boots.

Sounds like the previous review may be specific to that boot - I love these boots, gorgeous, very comfortable, and can take the everyday wear I'm putting on them. I would definitely go for the Sorel again! And the price is a huge bonus!!

Great boot -- but this sole not for the streets of NYC
Presumably the Cumberland was desgined as an urban boot, and in most respects it is, but in one very important regard it absolutely is not. The 2 stars are for the rubber lug sole -- it cannot withstand concrete sidewalks. I've had these boots for less than a month and have worn them only 5 times and already the heel and toe areas are wearing down to acute angles; the midsole has remained relatively intact so far. It's not like I've been hiking or trekking for hours in them, just walking a few blocks here and there, commuting, running errands and such. With every step I take, another layer of rubber peels off. I've never experienced such quick wearing away of the sole with any other kind of shoe. This is really unfortunate, because otherwise this is a great boot: fits true to size; cute style, not too clunky for a chunky-style boot; lightweight; good heel-toe balance and roll; excellent waterproof and warmth properties; and superior nonskid tread. But at this rate of erosion I don't see how the sole can last the rest of this winter. Altrec says I can exchange them for a new pair once my color and size becomes available again, but doubtful that a new pair would solve the problem of a too soft lug sole. I really do like these boots for the reasons stated above, so may to resort to tacking on heel savers to make these boots work for me. I've long heard of Sorel's rep for high quality, so I'm quite surprised at the paltry quality in this regard. Perhaps it's a fluke with this particular model. This is my first pair of Sorels -- it may be my last though if this sole is typical of Sorel.

Bottom Line: Great Boot
Very warm, not bulky at all. True to size and I really like the material on the upper portion of the boot. Sorel are the best winter boots you can buy. This is my second pair and they last forever.

Great Product
I bought these for my 12 year old daughter. We had so much snow she has had to use them for school shoes. They are warm and have kept her from slipping and falling as kids tend to run when they should walk! I will buy her more when she out grows these!!
