I admit that I was very skeptical with even the thought of purchasing snow boots online. I read all of the reports/feedback that I could find on Sorel's Mackenzie Holiday Lace Tall Boots. The sizing tips were very helpful, as they run a tiny bit big. Living in a climate with temperatures that dip into the negative numbers begining as early as December, and don't rise above the mid 20's until April, I excitedly placed my order! When I looked out of my window this morning, my mail carrier hand-delivered my package! I have to say that these amazing boots are perfect: colorful, great traction, and really warm! We're expecting snow within the next couple of days, and I'm looking forward to putting them to the test. Praise, Praise to Sorel for creating such a work of art...and keeping a girl really happy throughout the winter!

Fantastic, but size down!

I have not actually worn these boots in the elements as of yet, but I purchased them for when we move to Alaska in a few months. I have been wearing them around the house and absolutely LOVE them! They're extremely fashionable, and super comfy and warm. I LOVE the color. Most importantly, however, I usually wear a size 8.5/9 and I went with an 8 in these boots. I wear size 9 in sneakers/casual boots, and 8.5 in heels, etc. I checked the European size and on the size 8 boot, the tag reads European size 40, and a size 40 usually corresponds to size 9 in the US. Hope this helps!

These are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. They are surprisingly flexible and lightweight and the lining keeps them warm and snug. The style is a nice alternative to traditional looking boots that can be found everywhere. With my jeans over them they look like sneakers. When I tuck my pants into them they get noticed immediately by friends and family because they are so unique - they really make a statement. The downside is that they are too warm to wear all of the time. But now I'm excited whenever it's cold and rainy and I have to commute via bus to work because it means I get to rock my favorite boots :)

This pair of boots are pretty much a life saver. I have Raynaud's phenomenon so I really don't spent to much time in the cold if I don't have to. I needed a boot that would make my time in the cold enjoyable and risk free; and here we have it, this is the boot that did just that! I also really love the look. I feel stylish and trendy as I stay nice and warm. At first the bottoms seemed a little clunky, but I thought it was worth it because it has a kind of memory foam bottom. The laces are a great look, but they do take a bit of time to lace up and to unlace. Also, the back portion of the boot seemed to cave inward creating a prime environment for blisters, but that went away too. Overall, I love the length, style, feel, and the warmth. For me the good outweighed the bad.

Great Boots

I Live in Alberta Canada where it hits lows of -40 and -50 several times a year! I have tried my new boots and love them they are very warm and super light which helps when wearing them as a primary winter boots. Also I love the colours. Great overall.

I recently purchased these and received them and fell in love with them instatly. I was a little worried about the sizing because the reviews varied website to website. I ended up ordering my normal size which is and 8 and they fit perfectly. They are so comfy I can't wait till its get colder just to be able to weat them. They aren't super clunky feeling at all and will go great with lots of outfits. So overall very happy with them.

I have been looking for good winter boots for 2 years and I finally came to the right place!!!! These boots were comfortable, warm and really cute!! I am almost sad that I have to wait until it is winter again to give them a good wearing.

They look great and are functional too. They keep my toes warm when walking in the deepest midwest snows. They are perfect for sporting around town or just slipping on to take my pup out for a walk. I love them.

These boots are ridiculously comfy! Whatever Sorel has put in these soles are out of control! They do run big, I ordered an 8.5 when I usually wear a 9. Could have maybe even gone with an 8, so definitely order down a 1/2 to a full size. & although they are really comfy, there is no arch support. No worries though, just throw in some insteps & you're good to go through long walks in the snow!

I love these boots. They are so cute and warm but not too bulky. I live in a snowy area and it is hard to find boots that stand up to the snow, yet I can still drive in them. I love that they are extra tall because we got an epic November storm and I was tromping around parking lots in these with snow mid-shin. The fit seems true to size.
