Based on other reviews, I bought these shoes 1/2 size smaller than my normal size. They were still way too big - in width and length. And I have fairly wide feet, too. If you have narrow feet, I'd advise against it. Otherwise, I'd recommend getting them a whole size smaller than normal. Other than that, they were comfortable and seemed durable enough for the price!

Too Big

I was really excited to see them on sale. However, they turned out to be much larger than I anticipated. I usually wear a size 7 but these shoes were so much larger. In addition to that, they seems to be much heavier in weight than what I was expecting. I thought they would be great to knock around with jeans for the fall. If I would've known they were going to be so large I might've ordered them in a smaller size too. But since I didn't want to pay another shipping charge I deciided not to take the chance to reorder them. By the time I had to return them along with insurance it wasn't worth the sale price. Now I was out of two shipping charges, one for getting them and one for returning them. It might work out for others so I'm not necessily discouraging you from purchasing them.

These are good for occasional, casual use-- not really long / hard walking. Good looking shoe - comfy - but again - not for long/ frequent use as the sole & arch aren't supportive enough.
Pros: good looking, casual walking shoe, great price

The high rating is for the quality of the shoes. After all, they are Sorels! However, they run VERY wide and I had to return them. I normally wear a 9B. I wold recommend trying them on in a retail store beffore ordering, unless you know that Sorels work for you.
