Love those boots. Great for winter time for snow and for rain
So Far So Good
February 03, 2011
Although I'm in my twenties, I have very small feet and wear a children's size three or a woman's size 5 at most. I ordered these boots in the the children's size to make sure they would fit as well as possible, since some "equivalent" adult sizes can be a bit skewed. I've worn it for about two weeks now (about every other day), and the boots are very nice. I live in Boston, and we just weathered a rough storm with 12" snow accumulation on top of several previous doozies, and slogging through city slush and suburban snow banks has shown these boots can hold up to wetness on the outside. The shorter length makes it easy to pull on in a jiffy, and the smooth lace action makes you realize what's been missing in other shoes all this time. However, although my feet didn't freeze they weren't exactly toasty either. Usually they start out warm right after I get outside, but within 20 minutes my feet are pretty cold-and stay that way for a while, even after coming back indoors. On the other hand it's definitely bearable and other reviewers have touted the famed warmth, so let's just scratch it up to poor circulation! They're also pretty stiff around the ankles, but I think over time the leather will soften up. All in all a good pair of boots, and I plan on recommending it to others!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Cons: not so warmWrite a review for the Sorel Youth Caribou Snow Boots here.
Sorel Youth Caribou boots

I purchased these Sorel Caribou boots for my son who is in wet, muddy, and snowy conditions for much of the winter. Thus far they have performed just as they were stated by the company. He has said that his feet are warm, dry, and easy to clean under the hydrant before coming inside the house. However, I am not sure if they were glued or sewn around the bottom of the leather that attaches to the rubber sole. We will see if it lasts and continues to be waterproof. Thus far they have performed great and I would purchase another pair without a second thought.

The Caribou is a classic, and for good reason! It's waterproof, warm, has great traction, and stays on! We've had other well-insulated snow boots that had only a velcro strap at the ankle and a gator-like string at the top. My son was walking through medium-deep snow and would step out of his boot. The smaller sizes have a continuous string with kind of a toggle. Larger sizes require tying. Either way, they FIT! Everyone in our family has a pair of Caribou boots. Fortunately, Sorel still makes youth sizes up to 7. Some brands stop at a 4 or 5. Boys in the transition sizes don't usually have wide enough feet for the standard D width of men's shoes, so we get to stick them in women's for awhile. These boots aren't inexpensive, but they also aren't cheap! Worth every penny!

I purchased 2 pairs of sorel caribou big kids in 4 & 7 Both are great and runs a little bit big, but enough good considering thick socks in winter! I think that caribou kids is better than women line since it's lighter than women's at least few gram and black strap is more looking good than camel in women's. These are recommendable for warm winter season!
