Description

Whether it's the comfort or the longevity, guys wear rugged Sorel snow and mud boots like they dote on their decades-old pick-up trucks. This unusual sentimentality evolved from Sorel's reputation for creating tough, waterproof boots with classic styling that sidesteps the trendy trappings offered by other footwear manufacturers. The Sorel Men's Conquest Snow Boot features a durable seam-sealed construction using a combination of tough full grain leather and flexible synthetic textile. Sorel uses a proven molded waterproof shell made from thermal rubber to effectively lock out water and snow. The Conquest Snow Boot comfortably wraps your feet in dependable weather protection that's perfect for working in winter conditions, camping in the high alpine or navigating the slushy day lodge parking lot at your favorite family ski resort. Other guys might brag about their snow or utility boots lasting for years, but many Sorel boot owners already know that aside from replacing frayed laces, durable designs like this Conquest Snow Boot will keep their feet warm and dry for a decade or even two.

Great boot, worth the money!
February 21, 2012

This boot is very warm and comfortable, and over all a decent boot. The only minor issue is that the laces are full laces all the way up to the top of the boot. It just takes longer to get in and out of them. But I recommend them for anyone who spends long hours in snowy, cold, and wet weather.

Tough, Warm, Comfortable
February 02, 2012

This is vey warm, tough, and confortable snow boot that I love so much and would recommend to my friends. I love walking and playing ourdoor with my daughters whenever we have snow. This has a separate gator which can keep snow from getting into the boots and warm enough to use in cold weather for a long time.

Pros: water proof, warm
Cons: takes time to break-in

Best boots
January 23, 2012

Bought these boots for road jobs for very cold and wet conditions. They worked so good that I am purchasing another set for my son-in-law for the same reason. When the other officers saw them they are ordering the same boots. The K-9 officer is purchasing a set for duty use.

Pros: good enough for duty use, great snow protection, excellent for extreme cold conditions

I tried wearing this boot for a night, at home. This was a very uncomfortable boot. The size was correct, just uncomfortable. The front adjustment poked into my shin and they did not have any cushion or give to them. I have returned them for a refund.

very good boot for chicago winters
November 07, 2011

very good boot bought boot in 2010 so i had them just for one winter. i like the installation, draw string at top of boot to keep snow out, these boot are made as one piece so they are water proof just put your foot in lace up and go, nothing else to move like velcro. be advise they will make you seem taller. talk to customer service they suggested getting a half size bigger, i did and they fit perfeclyt from 10.5 to 11 and i'm 6 feet tall and 250 pounds. all in all a very good boot, however they take some getting used to putting boot on and they taking them off.thank you and good shopping.

Pros: waterproof, installation, constructed as one piece
Cons: will take a few minute to get into

Great Boots
October 30, 2011

Great pair of boots. I did a lot of on-line research before I purchased these Sorel Boots. They are very warm and comfortable in the most extreme weather. From riding ATVs and snowmobiles to snow removal. I would highly recommend these boots. I owned Columbia Boots before, but I don't think the two products are even close in terms of warmth and construction.

Cons: very snug to put on and take off.

Great snow boots!
March 27, 2011

Finally got to use these boots last weekend in Lake Tahoe during a big snow storm. The boots stood up to the test. I played in knee deep snow all day with my kids. We built an igloo using the boots to kick chunks of snow loose. These boots were great. They kept my feet warm and dry. The only problem i had was that my socks keep sliding down, but that may be a sock problem. or I didn't tighten the laces enough. I'm a size 9 and ordered a 9.5, which fit perfectly.

Men's Sorel Conquest Snow Boots
March 05, 2011

I ordered these snow boots when the ones I had fell apart during the worst snow storm in Oklahoma history. I did not get to try them out as our winter is pretty much over for the year but when I received them, I was very impressed with the quality of these boots. These made my old ones look cheap! I read a lot of the comments from other reviewers and can agree with them that these are very well made and well worth the money. I will look forward to them next year when we see if we beat our all time 2010 record in cold and snow fall. Great boots!!!

Great boots
February 27, 2011

The boots are very warm and very comfortable. The soles on the shoe seem like they are tire rubber and provide great traction. One thing i noticed is that they seem a little wide for a person with narrow feet, but otherwise great boots and would recommend to others.

Cons: wider than normal

Your feet will feel like an impenetrable fortress
February 22, 2011

The deepest snow I was able to test these in was 8". Important: You may want to order a half-size to size up. I'm a 13 and ordered 14 and have minor wiggle room. Thick socks can remedy that problem. I am able to stand still in snow and not feel any water, cold or any other sensory input that would indicate I'm in snow at all (as far as feet go). I never used cold weather socks with these boots. These boots give you a bit of an invincible feeling. The worst conditions I wore these in was while being a good samaritan and helping push people's stuck cars. Not once did I have a concern for my feet. This was in 8" of snow and high winds in 19F degrees. This brings me to the only "con" I can find about these boots. They're a bit clunky. This should probably be expected, given the height of the boot. Ankle movement forward and backwards is a bit of a task. This hindered my driving a bit. I just had to keep my heel off the floor to get good use of gas/brake pedals. Side-to-side isn't as bad, but you certainly won't roll your ankle in these. The "bending" action at the ball of the foot as you walk is a bit stiff, but I may just need to wear them in a bit more. All in all, this is an awesome boot for plowing through snow without a thought. I would compare them to snowboard boots, except they are more flexible, extremely weather resistant and good looking.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever
Cons: slightly clunky

Great Boots
February 13, 2011

Got these boots to replace my 20 yr old Sorels. I got them in time for the Blizzard of 2011 in Illinois. These boots never took in snow and kept my feet warm for the 7 1/2 hours I spent clearing snow. Even after the snow, we received below zero temps and I was able to say my feet stayed warm. The best part of the boots is you will only need a single pair of day to day socks.

Runs big but works great
February 03, 2011

NYC snow! I ordered 1/2 size bigger for heavier socks but shouldn't have. That said, I've worn them to work (indoors) and they felt great-not too hot. Outside they are bullet proof. I've even stepped through slush puddles and they've worked fine- not wet and stayed warm. VERY comfortable to wear all day. Oddly, there is no loop strap to help pull the boots on- only a small "pull tab". For this manufacturer, there should be a loop strap- big oversight! I've only worn them for a week but they perform as expected. Note: At first the boots rubbed on my shin but that resolved itself after the first day of use.

Very Good!
December 29, 2010

The only problem is the fit is not true to size as was indicated. I ordered a 10.5, which is my dress shoe size, but should have gone up a half size. The shoe was as advertised in consideration to warmth, very warm and the tread was very helpful to walking in the snow.

Sorel Conquest is still the best!
December 17, 2010

I owned a pair of classic black Sorel boots for 15 years and used them in the deepest of snow in climates reaching 60 below (Winter Harbor, ME). Those boots lasted forever and are still working today minus the liner which just won't survive cleaning any longer. The Conquest boots are better designed for long trips, a bit lighter and tighter fitting. The snow gaiter on the top is fantastic for keeping the snow out. The only downside is the time to lace them up. These are not quick and ready boots. The laces don't pull tight without a bit of work. Once it is all set though, you are good to go! I can only hope these last as well as my last pair. Only other comment would be the width. I have a fairly wide foot. These fit me despite being M rated for width. They probably would be a bit tight with thick socks but they are warm enough you don't really need the socks unless you are doing some hardcore winter hiking. Enjoy!

I worked with a guide over 32 years ago that highly recommended Sorel boots. Now that I have a pair, it's evident why he stood behind them. Excellent Boots
November 03, 2010

These are my first boots from Sorel and I love them. They are very warm and totally waterproof. They are true to size (bought a size 10 and it fits perfectly). Weight is average for this style of boot. The only small negative is that they are not very flexible (hard to crouch down), but I expect that this will change once I wear them in. I would definitely recommend these boots to friends.

As soon as you put these boots on they conform to your foot and you can't tell they are on. I would recommend these boots to anyone.

LOVE THEM
March 26, 2010

I have been looking for a pair of Sorel boots for quite some time. I really wanted a pair to use for both recreation and work. When I found these I thought they might work. They are incredible. We recently had a spring snow storm with over a foot of wet, heavy snow. I was outside working for 7 hours and my feet stayed warm, dry and comfortable the entire time. I highly recommend them!

good boot, but run big
March 12, 2010

I'm sad, but I had to return them. They looked tough as heck, but I think they run a bit wide. I'm a woman with a large foot, so I often buy men's shoes, but in this case I think they didn't fit because they were too wide for me. Total bummer.

Great Boot
March 03, 2010

I spent 3 nights 4 days climbing Mt Whitney in the middle of February and these boots kicked butt. I sweated through the boot and they never dried in 15 degree weather but my feet were warm the entire trip. Climbing out of a sleeping into frozen boots is no fun but surprisingly my feet warmed the boots and the toes were toasty. I put on a pair of Black Diamond crampons on and they worked great, show shoes no problem. Crossed streams and they never leaked. If cash is tight and $300.00 mountaineering boots are not an option then these will get the job done without disappointment.
