Meeting FIS standards means passing the FIS 30-milliliter ski test, which means that this ski racing suit allows for the passage of 30 milliliters of air pressure so the suit doesn't melt from the friction during a high-speed fall. It features a stretchy micro polyester knit that's bonded to a breathable membrane--something that those speed ski racers often sacrifice for their sweaty rubber speed suits. The Boy's Performance Race Suit also has padding along the knees, thigh, upper arm and forearm for better protection when skiers stray a little too close to the gates. A practical thumb anchor strap helps pull the sleeves into position with minimal adjustments. Gripper elastic along the hem helps maintain the fit along cuffs and a front stretch zipper seals the deal shut.
