My kids have been wearing Spyder Ski Jackets for several years and we were very disappointed when this arrived. We ordered a size 16 and it looks like it would barely fit a 10 year old. Also the quality of the coat does not measure up to the Spyder jackets we've bought in previous years. Unfortunately, we're back to the drawing board for jackets as this one needs to be returned.

Got this jacket for my 12 year old son, he really wanted another Spyder. It ran very small, had to return twice and eventually had to get him a different jacket. I was also disappointed in the quality as compared to the other Spyder's I have purchased in the past. The jacket seemed very soft and I questioned it's waterproof ability as compared to other Spyders. ORDER A SIZE UP.

The jacket is great. It is very good when it comes to being waterproof. My son has enjoyed it a lot. His only complaint is that it is too hot. I told him to wait. And that maybe sometime in the next 2-3 years, we would have a real winter again. More importantly, he loves the way it looks. Apparently, it's good to look cool. The only con is that it runs so small. You have to order 1 to 2 sizes bigger than you would normally.

My son has declared this his "favorite jacket yet" because he thinks it looks cool and is very comfortable. He has had other Spyder jackets, a North Face Jacket and I believe an Obermeyer one, so I guess that makes it a good one. It appears to be a jacket of good quality. The only thing I would add is that the insulation seems a bit slim. I'm guessing he'll wear a liner when our MN winters get below zero. I also would say it fits true to size to maybe just a slight bit small. He's currently wearing size 12 and I ordered a 14 hoping it would fit big and be used for 2 seasons. Time will tell but it doesn't seem big enough for that to happen.
