The Spyder Kyd's Challenger Jacket is fully waterproof, breathable and loaded with extra ThermaWeb™ synthetic insulation for optimal comfort. Spyder treated the durable nylon fabric with a special XT coating that penetrates the fabric and forms a honeycomb pore structure that lets vapor escape while keeping exterior water droplets outside the jacket. A Spylon water repellent finish helps keep the droplets from consolidating and saturating the pores. Unlike some ski hooded ski jackets, the Challenger Jacket has a temporary rollaway hood that cleanly tucks into the elevated collar. This configuration works well for kids who ski with helmets and don't require a hood in all but the most extreme downpours.
