Spyder Godfather Jacket:
Most people associate Spyder jackets with high-end outerwear designed for destination resorts, but this distinct and highly weatherproof Godfather Jacket is part of their new Freeryde Venom collection, a series of rugged performance jackets and pants created specifically for the remote places seldom seen by weekend warriors and in-bounds skiers. Spyder designed this tough jacket as a perfect pairing for their new Godfather Pant, and that's why the custom embroideries match on both garments. Jackets in the Freeryde Venom collection offer various degrees of taping and weather protection, but the Godfather Jacket is fully taped and optimized for the sleet and rain that usually hit coastal range mountains. Along with the welded construction and other watertight enhancements, the Godfather has stretch panels that give you superb mobility. Other jackets tend to either stretch or protect you from the elements, but this design does both exceptionally well. The outer cross-dyed tweed weave nylon shell also offers better abrasion resistance than some stretch designs, making the Godfather a great choice for terrain park and halfpipe routines. Spyder taped all of the seams and applied waterproof zippers to all pockets. In addition to the exceptional waterproof design, the Godfather also offers more functionality than most advanced freeride jackets. These refinements include an internal MCD pocket with collar microphone loop, mesh goggle pocket with attached custom chamois lens wipe, "Flasher" resort pass pocket and a bunch of extra internal zippered spaces for the essentials that Spyder's design team couldn't already address.
