Spyder Patsch Hoody Softshell Jacket - Men's

Better than expected

I was very surprised when I received this hoody as I expected it to be more of a softshell jacket (as the name suggests). I was worried that with its cloth-like, thin material it would not hold up to the elements. To test it out, I wore it out for a day of snowboarding and was extremely impressed. It is much more water resistant that I would have expected. After a full day on the slopes I was completely dry. To further test the jacket I poured a bit of water on the back and let it sit for a few minutes. To my surprise the water beaded up and ran off when I came back with no wetness remaining. It doesn't have amazing features like some of the other Spyder products and is really what it says, as softshell hoody. It's not extremely warm but it's wonderful for a rainy 40 degree day. In short, it's a good-looking, functional hoody with the added perks of water resistance and chest pocket big enough for an iPod and a wire pass-through to keep the headphones cord out of the elements and untangled. The only downside is the cost (pretty pricey if not on sale).

This softshell is a very well made jacket and perfect for our Texas winters. Good fit, great looks and exceptional craftmanship. Spyder does it again. 5 stars!!

The best light jacket I have ever had. Very satisified with the fit and style. Will buy it also in black. I am 6' 2" about 220 pounds and the extra large is perfect/

This is my first spyder jacket, and is great, very nice fit and excelent quality. I want to buy another one in other color. Great fit, great quality!. All that i buy in Altrec is GREAT!. Thanks Altrec!.
