Hard core quality
April 08, 2012
Bought these after doing a LOT of research. They stay on, bite the ice better than any other product I've tried. I'm very hard on my gear and these hold up to the punishment. You won't be disappointed!

Great product. Love the fast shipping, too. Easy to use and simple. Does the job, I would recommend them.

Anybody who has to walk on ice needs these. My husband swears by them. He keeps an extra pair in the car, just in case we get caught in a storm.
Not impressed

Very unclear information regarding the sizing. Sizing was too small.

Our fast moving Alaska winter storms switch between snow or sleet, heavy rain, a drop to single digits, to rain again. A Zamboni couldn't create slicker ice, and its dark too. I keep a pair of these in the car, at work, and at home. And, they won't snag carpet like other cleats.

I love my stabilicers. They work well on snow and ice, easy to get on and off my boots or sneakers, and give me confidence to venture out in the winter weather. I've had Yaktaks, which did not hold up well and were not as good on ice.

Driveway was a sheet of glass tonight! I'm 70 and didn't slip a bit when unloading car. Need I say more! They think the comment is too short. Better than a short fall!!!
Pros: PerformanceCompact and easy to use

These dont take up much room in your pack, and are easy enough to get on, and seem to stay on good.
Pros: Ease of use, Great valueTake that icey sidewalk!
February 17, 2011
These are great - have been on 2 short walks and 1 longer hike with the dog and I didn't slip, slide or fall once! 2 of the trails we took would have been impassable ice rinks with just boots.

Love the fact that they are made in the USA!!!! Thank you for a quality product that still employes our folks at home. Can't rate durability yet, just got them. They fit snugly and add great traction. Am ordering another set for the elementary school student, needs traction, but am not worried about the cleat b/c not a spike.
Pros: Build quality, Ease of use, Great valueFebruary 10, 2011
The product is excellent. I had similar product made by other company and it broken easily, but this one is more durable. Suggest to get a bigger size than the suggested size on the web site.

Best ice cleats out there
January 04, 2012
Why pay twice as much for cleats that do the same or less? These also offer the heel traction that the cheaper ones don't. I'll never buy anything else!

Great gear!!

We have just experienced another deep 12 hour snowfall in Wisconsin and I walk dogs everyday on sidewalks that are never perfect. Add sub-zero temps and it's guaranteed there will be ice somewhere under that skiff of snow that's blown in even where the walks were cleared. I could not hope to stay upright without my Stabilicers. They are the most effective means of winter city walking traction I've found.

I got these for my wife and were timely due to the ice storm to hit the Northwest this past week. I use the regular Stabilicers for trail hiking in icy and light snow conditions. I thought the Lite Stabilicers would be just the ticket for her being about town during less than good footing. I would suggest that when purchasing the product to go for the larger size than what the brochure indicates. She is a size 8 (small) and we went for the medium and they were perfect.

Great service

I have so much ice on my sloped property. These are going to work great for me. I should have ordered the Medium though. I only wear a women's size 7, but my snow boots are quite bulky so I need a bigger size to fit on them. I will use these on my lighter weight boots or hiking boots instead. Think I will ordering the next size up as well.
Pros: Great design, Great valueGreat concept---not as good as they should be

Bought a couple of pairs of these in preparation for an ice hike with a group of fellow hikers. A pair for me and a pair for my wife. We were doing a 6 mile round trip that day. Mine went on over by boots with no issue, same with my wifes. About 2 miles info the trip, I lost one of my Stabilicers when it just came off the boot. I was able to re-attach it with no issues and it stayed on for the remainder of the trip. A bit later, my wife lost one of hers as well and was able to secure it again. Less than a mile later, it came loose again and did that several more times during the hike. Needless to say, very inconvenient and unneccessary. She wears Keen hikers and it seems as if the Stabilicers were slipping off the front rubber tip of the boot. Several other friends had Yaktrax and other brands which have a top strap that secures the ice cleats to your boots. I didn't see anyone lose any of those over the course of the hike and would recommend you spend a bit more and buy something like that instead of these Stabilicers which are not nearly as secure as they should be.
Pros: Performance, Ease of use, Cons: Bad design, come off your boots way too easilyWrite a review for the Stabilicers STABILicers Lite here.
Great way to keep your feet under you

I've tried a lot of shoe chain type products and these are the best!
Not bad

I agree that the sizing didn't work out perfectly, as they don't fit snuggly on a few pairs of sneakers I have, but work just fine on my boots. That's actually best anyway since I wear boots during snowy/icy conditions. They definitely help stop slipping.

I've tried them on clean pavement (without snow) and it seems like they work real well for me. I'm confident that these will give me good traction when I use them on snowy/icy days here in Chicago. Thanks also for the fast/prompt service.
Good product

be sure to read the size chart of this product, as it maybe different from the one shown online with the product. Also reading the instruction to put it on will be worthwhile. It's a good sturdy little device for walking on ice for sure.
Wonderful gift

I got these for my parents for Christmas. We had a really bad ice and snow storm in the midwest. My mom loved hers and said they were a life saver. Now all her friends want a pair. She said they are so easy to put on and off.

They are light weight and fit snug on my boots. I have flat bottoms on the boots so they convert my boots into boots I can walk on the snow and ice with. Once you put them on a shoe if you try to put them on a smaller on it does not shrink back down.
Pros: Great design, Ease of use, Great valueFebruary 12, 2012
For the price they are great for around town and on flat trails. They will come off if used on trails with hills. I've had to add string to keep them secure to my shoes and boots in order to not lose them when they fall off due to ascending/descending conditions.
Pros: Great value, Cons: not for trails with hillsUseful, Easy, Good Value

The Stabilicers Lite are a great deal for the money. They make it easy to hike/walk on packed snow and ice. They are cumbersome on fluffy snow, though. I love that you don't have to buy expensive boots to go for a winter walk in the woods. It's great that they just slip over shoes that you already have (no need to break in a new pair of boots!)
Great on-trail and off
December 28, 2009
I use these for traction on icy driveways and sidewalks, and for hiking on hard-packed snow (and sometimes ice). The cleats give great traction, allowing me to walk securely instead of doing the 'nervous ice shuffle.' They work best with trail runners or light hikers. The sizing is a little tricky since I wear women's size 8.5 shoe. The smalls fit my light hikers and trail runners, and I need a medium for my winter hikers and pac boots. The Stabilicers Lite don't stay on the bulky boots as well. They tend to pop off in high activity and are easy to lose in the snow, so I run a Velcro strap through them and over the tops of my shoes.
Great product, must have for winter

I love these things and I swear by them. I should own stock in this company, as I have bought them for myself and everyone I know, as well as promoting them to every one I see. In the winter months they have made walking possible at times when others would not go out...people ask me all the time what I am wearing. I can't say enough about them! They do tend to run a little small...I have a size 6.5 winter boot and I use a Med on them, a small on my running shoes.

Excellent quality ice-grippers for wearing on shoes/boots for winter sports, or just walking on ice. Compared to previous brand ice-grippers we'd purchased & used a couple of years, these should do the job much better. Received white, sine it was the only color available @ the time. Recommended Altrec & STABIlicers to others.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of useLifesaver!

I bought these for my grandfather after he slipped and fell getting the mail.......He has nothing but great words about them. Definately not made for hiking on trails, but for those icy driveways in the winter, they are a lifesaver!

A present.

The person who received the "stableicers{" loves them. She lives in Reno, when they had snow earlier in season she was slipping all over. Not now.
Very useful for wintery walks.

I got these for my mom who snowplows the often icy driveway at her Wisconsin home. She got to try them out on a walk on lake ice, and she said they helped her stability and stopped most slipping. Good purchase!
