You like to go far and you like to go fast, but do you ever wonder how far and how fast you really go? Suunto designed their X6 chronometer/altimeter with computerized features designed to accurately measure hiking, biking, mountaineering and Nordic skiing performance like no other watch in the backcountry. You can time your rates of ascent and descent in either 10- or 60-second intervals. The altimeter is accurate to one meter, which gives you far better resolution than other designs that provide blurry 30-foot guestimates that inaccurately flatline your altitude training. At the end of the day you can download your performance data to the included Suunto Activity Manager (SAM) on your PC. This allows you to track the altitude profiles for your favorite routes and maintain a training diary.

Great computer! Menu system makes it usable without even reading the book - certainly a first for a watch of this level of sophistication. Smaller size with large read-out of aging eyesight. Accurate compass and altimeter with usefull features for the outdoors, hiking, biking, motorcyling, adventure racing....
