5 out of 5

Upon receiving the package the one characteristic of the bag that doesn't lie is that it is very lightweight. I recently took this bag with me on a hiking trip on the Navajo reservation in AZ and it provided enough space for a 1 day hike. I was able to squeeze in my compressed sleeping bag, two water bottles, a hatchet, extra layers, and a can of beans in the main compartment. There are many places on the bag to attach additional items, like a knife, which I was able to do on the strap. The bag is durable enough to stand dropping it down small cliffs and rubbing against rocks as I climbed. It also has a compartment inside for a water bladder, which I found useful. A good bag for the price.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, lightweight

This is an extremely light weight pack but it doesn't sacrifice great features like the padded shoulder straps, padded waist belt and waist belt pockets. Also you get a great separator for an internal water bladder with a Velcro opening on top for the tube. I couldn't imagine a better designed ultralight pack. And for less than $100 you cannot beat it. It has enough room for anything from a weekend hike to hiking the A.T. if you have ultralight gear. Buy this pack!
A comfortable functional lightweight pack

The Terra Nova Equipment Laser 35 exceeded my expectations. It's not quite as light as some other super light packs, but the materials are sturdy, the design is excellent (especially the long zipper entry) and for a light weight pack the harness is very substantial and comfortable.
