Shazam! I love this shoe!
August 20, 2012
I've had many water shoes over the years and they all drove me nuts because they had some sort of 'heel' - like a wide one, or a raised one with a scoop in the instep, or whatever. Those types really do NOT work for running across the big rocks on the side of the river near my house, or for hiking to the river. I need a show that is truly just a wrap around my foot, not some blorpy thing that hangs up on things. BUT... the Teva Fuse-Ions are fantastic! I can swim in them run across the rocks, hike in 'em, you name it! And they weigh so little... :-) I love 'em!
A different kind of water shoe
September 16, 2012
These shoes are built differently from any other water shoe I've tried. I've had several pair of Salomon Tech Amphibians and have been a big fan of those, and currently have a pair of Merrills that are probably the most versatile shoes I've ever owned. The Tevas are built flatter, so they aren't as good for extended walks on concrete, but are very comfortable, very cool, and have great feel and grip. Mine were completely and continuously submerged in New England muck on a hour-long crabbing expedition, and, astoundingly, not only didn't stink after that adventure, but showed absolutely no staining or mud residue whatsoever -- they literally still looked like new. All that, and my 19-year old daughter says they are her favorite shoes of any I have ever owned (translation: the not ones that were not appallingly ugly and geekish). With all that, I can't possibly rate them anything less than 5 stars. Teva better keep making these next year.
Black, Bungee Cord and Duck Green.
